“I can show you the world…shining, shimmering, splendid!” Just hop on my magic carpet and let our adventures begin. My name is Aladdin and I am hilarious and handsome 9 yo Shih Tzu/ terrier mix weighing around 12lbs. Just like my Disney counterpart, I am friendly and happy go lucky guy with a big heart! You can’t really tell in my pictures, but I don’t have the best vision. My hair was so matted that I couldn’t see for so long and it caused me to have some chronic dry eye in which I will need lifelong eye drops. But wonderful people were able to get me all groomed up and looking snazzy. From Aladdin to Prince Ali! A classic diamond in the rough! I wasn’t a fan of the eye drops at first, but with some tasty hotdogs and some patience, I am getting the hang of it! I am also starting to go on more walks now that the sun is starting to peek out. The volunteers say that sometimes I randomly stop, but they just pick me up and set me back down, and then it’s back to it! I have met some doggy friends and I am very tolerant, but I would prefer to be your one and only. Overall, I am very outgoing with my human pals, but with my limited vision, I would do best in an adult only home. I found the magic lamp and am ready to make my final wish: I wish for my forever family! Fill out an application and we can set up a meet. I come to you vaccinated, micro-chipped, and neutered with a recent dental and adoption fee of $350.

Story
Meet Thompson! Thompson came to us from another rescue in Cali who rescued him as he had been sitting at a shelter for months. He could hardly walk when we got him but now he is up to one full city block! Part of this big improvement is that that that the good folks at MetroVet in Portland diagnosed him with Cushings Disease and he is now getting the medicine and treatment he needs. Thompson will require Cushings medicine for the rest of his life with an easy pill twice a da y and also eye drops to treat his dry eyes. With his Cushings treatment his mobility continues to improve, but as a Senior - he will be a very low activity level dog. He has made exciting progress as he managed over his first curb on his own and continues to become stronger. As a senior dog Thompson is pretty blind and as mentioned gets daily eye drops, but he navigates great and has good hearing and he’s good a great nose. Thompson is a sweet boy and is pretty much house trained as long as he goes out several times a day, he enjoys going out in the yard and sniffing around. He's a gentle boy and is great with all dogs and other animals. Thompson is 14 years old and weighs 24 pounds. Are you Thompson’s forever home?   Every Underdog has been spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and is up to date on vaccinations. All dogs have had a recent visit to the vet as well.    Adoption fee is $280.00 We offer a 10% discount for seniors, veterans and students. All of our dogs are in foster homes. Meet Adrie, this 12lb Shih Tzu is about 9 years old but is still very active and enjoys being around her people going on walks and rides. Adrie was found as a stray at an auto repair shop in pretty rough condition. Be sure to look through all her photos so that you can see her conditon when we scooped her up. Thankfully with some medical care a good bath and a haircut Adrie is looking and feeling much better! Adrie is a cheerful little dog who doesnt let life get her down. She deserves to find a home that is perfect for her, we think she would like a mellow life with an owner who is ready to give her plenty of attention.
