You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Romeo, oh such a suitable name for this goofy, loving dog. Romeo is a 7 year young Dachshund mix. He is great with other dogs and very sociable with humans. Very food motivated and he can hear the cheese wrapper from any distance. Romeo is looking for a permanent home, preferably one without stairs. The coordination in his rear legs is not perfect,but on flat ground he is as fast as the other dogs and he love to run and play wrestle. Romeo is not an early riser, he likes to sleep in on a soft bed close to the warm air vent.  Romeo will not be a good fit for a home with carpets because he has limited bladder control. He leaks urine when his bladder is full. He walks as he pees and is unaware of this, he could be fitted with diapers but he would need to train to keep them on. Romeo will not be able to become 100% housebroken due to his neurological problem. If he is let out often he keeps clean inside most of the time. Romeo loves is human with ALL his heart, and the extra care and consideration he needs is definitely worthwhile. Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue microchips all dogs and cats before adoption. Microchips are implanted between the shoulder blades and are another form of identification should the animal get lost. The microchips are registered to  Happy Days Dog and Cat Rescue. The adopter's information is added once the adoption is complete. The adopter is responsible for a $19.99/Year registration fee or a $69.00/Lifetime registration fee to change information.  Dogs and Cats still need to have collar with tags should they get lost. PLEASE READ ENTIRE DESCRIPTION Age: DOB 2/10/19 Size (full grown): 20lbs max Breed: Backyard breeder told owner she is dachshund.  Sex: Female Good with kids: Yes Good with Cats: Yes Good with dogs: Yes Information: Poor piper is a product of a backyard breeder. Her original human mom was told she is a dachshund. We do not believe she is a full dachshund. Also Piper had distemper when she was a baby so her face and ears have some deformities. However she is loving and still a pup at heart. She loves attention and loves to play with her toys. Don't let her face scare you she is all of a sweetheart.  Adoption Fee: $265 We are a foster based rescue based out of Muskegon, MI. We have an application process for adopting our pets. We have an application on our website www.caninesrescue.com. PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US WITH YOUR APPLICATION INFORMATION. WE REQUIRE YOU FILL OUT THE FORM. Meet Daisy! Daisy is looking for a loving, calm household to live out her golden years. This senior cutie came to Pet Tales Rescue after her owner passed away. She is a Dachshund/Chihuahua mix, estimated to be around 10 years old and weighs about 9 pounds. She is a very sweet and gets along with other calm dogs. Although her favorite place is curled up in a cozy dog bed or blanket, she loves to spend time thoroughly, but slowly, exploring her foster's fenced yard. Daisy does have arthritis and takes pain meds when needed, but remains able to go up and down the 3 steps of her foster family's deck. Per her doctor, her heart is strong, fur healthy, and her vision and hearing seem to be intact. She does have occasional accidents in the house and does not do well in a crate. She is spayed, current on vaccines, Microchipped and received a dental. Daisy is available for adoption through Pet Tales Rescue in Grand Rapids, MI. Please go to www.pettalesrescue.com and fill out an application. Her adoption fee is $85 plus $15 for the microchip for a total of $100 payable by cash or card through the rescue's website. * Pet Tales Rescue does not have a physical shelter location as all of our pets are in foster homes. To meet Daisy or one of our other fosters, you will need to fill out an application. After your application is reviewed, one of our volunteers will contact you to set up a time to meet her.

Hello, I’m a well cared for, pampered and well loved good ‘ol boy! Love outdoors, sunshine, car rides, walks and lots of love and snuggles. My family rescued me when I was eight weeks old and have loved me every day since then for nine years! Unfortunately, circumstances are forcing them to have to move to a place where I’m not allowed. We are all heartbroken but we would all feel better to know I’ll be very well cared for.
