***Puppy Pals Rescue will not be participating in public Meet and Greets or other public activities until further notice. We are following the HSUS and the Dayton Humane Society guidelines until the COVID-19 virus crisis passes.*** Marley is a female long-haired Miniature Dachshund that is 8 years old and weighs 10.2 lbs. She was surrendered to Puppy Pals Rescue by her owner, along with Solo. Marley and Solo are a bonded pair and will be adopted out to a loving home together. Marley is housebroken. She loves to snuggle and lay in your lap. When not in your lap, she likes soft snuggly beds and blankets. She doesn't seem to know how to play. She is not a barker. She gets along with other dogs and loves kids. Puppy Pals Rescue will only consider local potential adopters for Marley and Solo (live in the Dayton/Cincinnati/Columbus area). If you would like to meet Marley and Solo, they will be at a couple Meet & Greet events in February. On Saturday, February 8, they will be at the Petco at 300 E Stroop Rd in Kettering from noon to 2pm. On Saturday, February 15, they will be at the PetValu at 3201 Dayton-Xenia Rd in Beavercreek from 1pm to 3pm. If you have any questions regarding Marley and Solo, please email their foster mom at alicia.heidorn@gmail.com. My doggies have a first name it's O S C A R. My doggies have a second name it's M E Y E R. I like to pet them every day. And if you ask me why I'll say.... Cause Oscar & Meyer have a way of showing me much love each day. These cute little wieners are an amazing duo that are sure to love you as much as you love them. They came to us a pair... so if you choose to adopt both of them, you get twice the fun than if you were to just adopt one dog. They are both mostly house trained but are still learning to only go outside since there were taught to use puppy pads... especially when it is raining outside. Both are crate trained and love being outside on sunshiny days. They are good with dogs, kids, and everyone they meet. They are both crate trained but sometimes need to be reminded all 4 paws belong on the floor. Oscar loves to burrow under the covers and Meyer loves being held. Together they make an amazing team that will leave your heart twice as full. However, we are adopting them out separately if needed. They would love to stay together but seem to also be fine apart. We believe Oscar and Meyer to both be 9 years old and. You may apply to adopt one or both of them by applying for Oscar and/or Meyer at www.pawpatroldayton.com/adoptable-dogs. Whether wanting to adopt just one or both of them please indicate that on the application. Their adoption fee is $150 each or $250 for both boys and they are up to date on vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, and heartworm negative. All of our animals are vaccinated, micro-chipped and spayed/neutered before being adopted.

Story
Nutmeg is a 6 year old, spayed female dachshund/poodle mix. We acquired Nutmeg as a puppy from a pet store for our then 4 year old daughter. She is an indoor dog and loyal to her owners. She loves to play but is timid of the unknown and needs to be respected of her boundaries. Nutmeg has developed aggressive behaviors over the years and growls/nips/bites towards strangers, especially men and small, unpredictable children. Her unpredictable behavior has been become a liability to my newly started home daycare and that is why we are looking for a new home for Nutmeg.
