Owner passed away suddenly and willed him to a friend. Unfortunately, the friend lives in public housing and couldn't keep the dog so he came to us. Sweet senior. Ok w some dogs. Likes people and attention. Very peppy still for his age.

Meet Max! He is a 4 year old Dachshund mix. He came in with his brother Rocky and is now ready for his forever home! Max is a very special boy looking for a very special home. Max craves attention and affection. He loves belly rubs, playing with his toys and naps on his bed. However, he gets quite attached to his person. And thinks he should protect them. He can be especially nervous with men. Strangers are scary and he needs time to warm up slowly. We think a home with females is probably best for him. He does well with other dogs and cats! Due to Max needing more time and patience to adjust he needs a home with no children.
