Story
Scooby is an adorable and unusual mix of Dachshund and Pug (our best guess) His previous owner (who said they were 1.5-2 YO) could no longer take care of him and his brother Meelo so they were surrendered to PLDP. Both boys are not very social, Scooby is the more timid one. Scooby is a very sweet boy. The boys don't need to be adopted together, Meelo tends to boss Scooby so Scooby will most likely do better without Meelo, but Scooby does need a confident dog to live with. Scooby has got into a game of chase with other foster dogs, when Meelo wasn't around. Scooby really doesn't like the crate but it is used and hes okay in it, he just needs to be lured in still. Scooby was neutered, updated on vaccinations, microchipped and HW checked. He is ready to move on into a calm and understanding home that will take things slow with him. Please complete an application on our website if you would like to adopt Scooby www.pldpaws.org Prefer applicant be within 1 hour drive from PA 19029 area

Story
Shelby is a wonderful dog that has been with me for years. She is about 8-9 years old as she was a rescue and I never really knew how old she was when I got her. Her paperwork said 2 but that was a guess. She is trained, knows her basic commands (sit, stay, wait, down), house/crate trained, and very lovable. She does have some behavior issues, separation anxiety and she will bark at other animals as well as humans if they look at her for too long. Mostly out of fear though, she has never had any issues with biting.

Story
Penny is being fostered in Illinois. Blind Dog Rescue will assist with transport. What we know about Penny: *young *has 85% vision. needs daily drops to maintain *very active! *loves people *housebroken *needs fenced yard *smart happy girl! What Penny's foster mom has to say about Penny: We are not sure exactly what breed Penny is....but whatever she is, she is adorable! She is just 22 pounds of cuteness! Penny is doing wonderfully! She is fully potty trained, crate trained, & knows basic commands of sit, stay & give paw. Penny also walks nicely on a leash. Penny loves to follow her person around and enjoys belly rubs, playing with her toys and cuddling next to another dog in our home. She continues to need her medicated eye ointment 2 x daily. (She has gained 85% of her eye sight) She can be the only dog, and she also enjoys cuddling with other dogs. She requires a home that has a fenced in yard. BDRA has voted against the use of electric fencing effective immediately.

Story
Wendy is being fostered in Chicago. She is fully blind and also diabetic. She is on medical hold while the diabetes is being stablized. What we know about Wendy: *loves people *blind *diabetic *likes dogs, cats and children What Wendy's foster mom has to say about Wendy: Wendy is the sweetest little girl you will ever meet. She is always wagging her tail like a little helicopter! Her favorite thing in the world is to snuggle with her people and look for snacks! She is a diabetic but doesn't let that hold her back. She is full of life and energy but can be a bit of a diva sometimes. She is very insistent that she be the center of attention at all times. She is great with dogs and cats, and has not met a person she doesn't love. She will take a lot of devotion and attention, as she needs lifelong medication and follow-up. We are currently working on getting her diabetes under better control, but are running into difficulties. She will soon be having a consultation with an internal medicine specialist, to see if there is anything additional we need to be concerned with. Wendy has the biggest heart, and hopes there might be a little room in yours for a special girl like her! BDRA has voted against the use of electrical fencing effective immediately.
