Story
(WINSTON MUST HAVE A FENCED BACKYARD, NO CHILDREN AND MUST BE ADOPTED WITHIN 100 MILES OF THE METROPOLITAN DC/BALTIMORE AREA) Hello my name is Winston. I am a tiny (8 lb) dachshund chihuahua mix with a lot of pep. In my short life of two years I have experienced many adventures. Perhaps the most noteworthy adventure was when I tried to out run a car. Unfortunately for me, the car won and my back-left leg and pelvis were injured. My original owners were not able to take care of me. That is when I met the rescuers from Little Paws Dachshund Rescue. My foster mom says cuddling is one of my best traits. I love to jump into your lap for a belly rub at any moment. My foster sister and I love playing and running the fence line in our yard. I get along with all the dogs at my foster home.  I am looking for a home with a fenced yard and a small companion dog. It would be wonderful if I have a stay at home human. I am house trained and crate trained. If you have a lot of love in your heart to give, I am the dog for you.  Please contact my foster mom Saundra at saundramag@aol.com if you would like more information about me. The adoption fee for Winston is $325. If Winston is adopted over a state line there will be a $45.00 charge for a health certificate (required by law).  All dogs adopted in New England are charged an additional $150 to cover regulatory requirements.    Transportation Help If you see a fur baby that is a match for your family, don’t let distance stand in the way of your adoption. LPDR can work with you to transport the dog to you.      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Hi! My name is Bud, and I'm a new addition to Pawmetto Lifeline. I'm 10 years old, but don't let that fool you - I have just as much love to give as a puppy. I am a sweet small breed dog who is looking for my human. I would love to be a lap dog and spend my days with you. My adoption fee of $250 includes my neuter surgery, deworming, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations. I've even started on my monthly flea and heartworm preventatives - what more could you ask for? If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an online application or email adopt@pawmettolifeline.org.
