Story
Meet Red! He is a 5 year old dauschund that is in need of some serious TLC! He was part of cruelty seizure and when I got him he was covered in poop! His ears and his whole body and tail looked like someone had just rubbed it all over him. He is a very sweet dog, good with kids, cats and dogs. He appears to be housebroken and is crate trained. Please fill out an application on my website!

Story
Gigi is on the hunt for her forever home, a place where she can feel safe and secure. This sweet girl is a bit shy and is looking for someone who can be patient and help her build trust. Right now, she feels most comfortable in her foster home, where she is surrounded by love and care. Gigi may not be the best fit for a home with children, but she warms up quickly to adults and gets along famously with the other dogs in her foster home. Give Gigi a chance to steal your heart and show you just how amazing she is! We are eager to see her find a loving home where she can thrive and be happy. Let's make Gigi's dream of a forever home a reality! We urge you to consider giving Gigi the chance to capture your heart. Our ultimate goal is to see her adopted, content, and flourishing in her new environment.

Story
Welcome Lady to CCPAL. (We have Lady and Tramp that are cute little Doxies). Lady is a 10-week old adorable pup. She is a Smooth-coated Black and Tan Dachshund mix or possible pure bred. She should weigh less than 10 pounds. She has the longer leg mini appearance in her body shape. She doesn’t have a wide chest but a small thin body. She is not a shedding pup or lower shedding. She is attentive, social, sweet, vocal and outgoing. She is more outgoing than her brother, Tramp. She will be a small lap dog and will be small enough to tote around in a pet purse. She is great with other dogs, cats and in a crate. She is learning the potty pad training. She likes to be held and will make some lucky family a great companion. She would be great with a family with kiddos. We suggest kiddos being 7 or older due to her smaller size. She is getting her 2nd puppy vaccine and will get 3rd before she is spayed. She will be available in about 4 weeks. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with a transporter to have her delivered to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 350 and transport is 160 to 195 depending on which transport is available. She is one amazing pup and we would love someone with previous Doxie experience. People that know the breed know the kirks and love them for all their beauty. This is an AMAZING pup and a TREASURED breed. Please know we are a small group and calling each person back isn’t possible. We will answer all questions via email and send as many pictures and videos as we have available. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. See her cute video!!

Story
Welcome Maria to CCPAL. She is a 10 lb little brown mini Dachshund mix dog. She is about 3 years old. She is good in a crate, good with other dogs and cats. She is a nice weight and would be perfect in a home where someone loves and knows the Dachshund breed. She has one down year and one that sticks out sideways. In the wind both ears fly out in the flying nun position. She is the most precious little girl and likes to be held. She is loyal and relatively lower on the energy side. All Dachshunds are best in a fenced yard setting and with someone with out lots of levels or stairs to their home. She is a pretty high mixed Doxie and will make some family a wonderful companion. She is up on her shots, healthy and ready for her forever home. She is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to deliver her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185. Please contact us for an application. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. See her cute video!!

Story
Cheesecake is the sweetest girl who LOVES everyone!  She had a rough start to life.  She came to us after emergency c-section with a ruptured mammary tumor that luckily healed on it's own.  On top of all of that she was also heartworm positive.  But Cheesecake is a fighter and is now a happy healthy girl after going through heartworm treatment.  She has the energy level of a heeler but with short legs!  While she can be active she will also lay at your feet while you are working on something.  She loves other dogs of all sizes with the appropriate introduction and all people but she is a jumper so would do best with no small children (we're working on this!).  Her favorite activity is chasing the grass hoppers! She is potty trained and does well with free roam of the house.  She is great in the car and actually really enjoys car rides.   Cheesecake is available for adoption with Saving Grace Dog Rescue of San Antonio.  The adoption fee is $150.00.   An adoption application, home visit and adoption contract are all required.  All dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on vaccinations appropriate for their age, microchipped, and wormed for internal and external parasites.  If you would like more information or an adoption application, please email us at sgdrsa@outlook.com. Please note that visual breed identification in rescue dogs is unreliable so for most of our dogs we are only GUESSING at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label.
