Story
Found as a stray in Rowlett, rescued by RHS in October 2019.  Kelly is also known as Keke, she lives in a foster home with dogs and cats.  Keke loves toys especially tennis balls and her stuffed Gumby.  Potty trained, barks when the door bell rings, loves to run around the yard and go for walks.  When Kelly was found she had a large tumor on her side and a smaller on on her right nipple.  The tumor that was removed from her side and was diagnosed as a Squamous Cell Carcinoma.  This is considered to be a cancerous tumor, often occurring due to prolonged sun exposure.  The good news is that the tumor was completely removed with clean margins, so no further treatment or surgery is needed at this time.  Kelly does need to be monitored closely for any new lumps or bumps as she has an increased risk for developing new tumors in the future. Along with the tumor removals, Kelly was spayed and underwent a dental where she had many teeth extracted.  After several days of recuperation, she is coming into her own little fiesty self.  A sweet little girl, loves to pay fetch, chase the squirrels outside and inside she is a snuggle bug.  With the winter settling in, Keke has found her spot in bed under the electric blanket. We are unsure of how she would do with children at this time since she only lives with adults and other animals.  Keke has a healthy appetite, loves her treats and sneaks a bite or two of kitty food every chance she gets. ##499521##

Story
~~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam and follow up exams.~ Health: ***** No obvious health issues found during vet exam ***** This non-pom is named Milo.  I think he’s a dachshund mix but not everyone agrees with me.  His family left him behind when they moved out and a realtor found him.  He was skinny and very weak but he’s okay now.  He’s a little shy but overall friendly and ready for a real family that won’t abandon him.  Milo is a senior brindle unknown breed with gray around his face.  He gets great TV reception too. Where did he come from:  owners abandoned him when they moved.  Adoption: ***** $216.50 Includes Tax ***** Weight: 10 lbs. Approximate age: 01/13/2010 ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/application -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. --   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.--------

Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Ranger is a rambunctious three-year old dachshund mix. His defining feature is his heterochromia, or different colored eyes. Despite being a rescue, he has a vivacious personality, loves to chase balls and play with his owners. He has been to dog obedience school and knows how to use a doggie door, various commands like sit, shake, down and come. Ranger is very intelligent and *only* plays with his toys. We keep a small supply of Kong and tennis balls on hand for him to play and chew on. He was abandoned so he likes to be near his owners. Ranger needs a home that is experienced with rescues and/or Dachshunds. By nature they are very protective of their owners and wary of strangers, so keep plenty of treats on hand when introducing him to new people - then he makes friends! He can be aggressive when playing and possessive with items. A family with *older* or no children is preferred. It will take work to get Ranger used to other animals in the home.
