Story
Sweet Blue, how I love you! Mr Blue is thought to be around 10 years old. Blue was picked up as a stray in very poor condition and had been living in the woods and obviously neglected before that. Blue's teeth were worn down due to his nibbling on his skin due to an untreated flea allergy. Blue was also very shy and scared, but that has all changed now; he is a sweet and loving laid back senior boy! Blue is house trained but not crate trained, but he does like to sleep in his crate with the crate door open. Blue lives with cats and other laid back dogs (he doesn't like dogs in his face), so he wishes to find like minded companions. Blue would do great in a home with a dominant female dog or to be the only dog in the home. We would love Blue to go to a quiet home without young children (he loves them but he is a chewer.. no toys or anything else is sacred, which means it would be best that Blue goes to a home where his people are home all day or most of the day. An adopter should also have the means to separate him (baby gates) from items of chewing temptation when he's left alone for his own safety! In the Summer, Blue loves being outside in the sun, sleeping on the deck and rolling around in the grass, so a fenced in yard is a must. Blue has some old man arthritis issues which can be managed with inexpensive medications to keep him comfortable. Blue is also looking for an experienced adopter to help him adjust to his new home. He is currently very bonded with his Foster Mom due to his previous sad past and may take longer than normal to transition to his new home, so a patient adopter is a must! All in all, Blue is a handsome, sweet and loving boy who deserves the best life after being so horribly neglected. He has some little idiosyncrasies which can be managed by the right adopter.
