Story
Welcome Rey Rey. She is a 1.5-year-old Staffordshire/Dalmatian blend is our guess. She is about 45 to 50 pounds full grown. This girl was found with her puppies. She was the most amazing momma dog. She wouldn’t leave the puppies side for 6 weeks. She would literally just leave for the most necessary things and then back in to be with her pups. I think being a deaf momma had it’s challenges because she couldn’t hear her babies cries. She had them in the wild before being taken in and she needed to keep them safe. Incredible foster moms took her and the pups in. She helped the family and all the puppies have found homes now. The foster for Rey Rey has come to CCPAL for help finding the momma a home. She is a deaf dog and is working on hand commands with her foster family. She is good on a leash, likes car rides, she is good in a crate, potty trained, good with other dogs and protective of her family and what she considers her people. She would be a great dog for a family. She has been around an 11-year-old and a 3-year-old and she loves the kids. We would say kids that are 7 or older as a general rule on all adult dogs. She would be great with a family that has had a deaf dog or someone that is deaf and knows the challenges that you face. She will need a fenced yard as recall is not possible. She is great on a leash so walking her will be easy. She is up on her shots, healthy, spayed and ready for her forever home. She loves car rides. She recently was spayed and had a tick removed from her ear canal and a small cyst from the other ear. She still cannot hear but now she has perky upright ears. She is in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to deliver her to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. Her adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. See her cute video!!

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Thank you for stopping by to see me!   Please check below to see what upcoming adoption events I will be attending or apply here for a private meeting.  If you have other questions about me you can email Underdog Rescue at <underdogrescue@petml.com> ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there*** Due to concern around COVID-19, Underdog Rescue is suspending all public adoption events and community events. We are still accepting applications for available dogs but are delaying in-person meet and greets due to the ‘stay at home’ policy. Thank you for your support.  DOB:  01/01/2010 Requires another dog in home: Yes Okay with dogs of all sizes: Yes Okay with cats: Yes Okay with children under 12 years old: Yes Requires a fenced yard:  Yes Note: dogs must always be leashed whenever outside of a contained area Hi, my name is Perdita!  I’m a senior Dalmation aging gracefully into my golden years.  I can be a little timid at first glance, but once I get to know you, I will gladly accept any and all attention you may have for me!  Can I suggest a neck rub?  Those are my absolute favorite!  I’m learning to play with my foster sister and she’s teaching me how to play with toys.  I’m sure I’ll figure them out soon! I am potty trained; pretty rad, right?  I’m also a pro on the leash, so that’s two gold stars for me!  I do well in the crate, but I get annoyed if you leave me in it while you’re in the house and I’m not afraid to let you know it.  I know a couple of commands, but I’m sure I can learn more.  I do prefer a fenced yard as I love the freedom to run and run and run! I’m a very good girl, who enjoys her family and gets along well with other dogs.  I get along with cats too; I’ll give them a nice lick here and there!  I may be a little nervous around loud noises and fast movements, but once I’m comfortable, I will make the most wonderful companion to any home!   Many of our dogs are rescued from commercial breeders where they spent their lives getting comfort from their canine friends.  In turn, most require another companion dog in their forever home in order for them to feel safe. If you are interested in a particular dog, and do not currently have a dog residing with you, please understand that your home might not be the right fit for many of our dogs. ***Be sure to check your spam/junk folder as sometimes our emails end up there***  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.  ADOPTION EVENTS:   Adoption events are updated as the foster home RSVP's to attend. Check back for updates on which events they will be attending. Please understand that all of our pets are in volunteer foster homes and sometimes "life" happens and the foster family cannot make it to their scheduled adoption event. If you are traveling from a far distance to meet a specific animal, please understand we cannot guarantee event attendance. You may wish to consider applying and setting up a private appointment. Private appointments are only scheduled after an application is submitted and approved.   ADOPTION PROCEDURE: The first step in our process is to complete an online adoption application on our website: http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/adoptionprocess/   Note: In most circumstances Underdog Rescue will only adopt within 60 miles of Minneapolis, MN.  All of our foster animals can be seen by appointment with an approved adoption application. Contact us at http://www.underdogrescuemn.com/contact-us/ if you have further questions.   FOSTER CARE: All of our animals are fostered in individual homes or doggie daycare facilities. While they are in our care, they are part of our families and given lots of love. We work on training, crate-training and socialization prior to adoption. Each animal's behavior is evaluated and we have a sense of its temperament and personality. We look for adopters who will give each animal the wonderful life and permanent home that he or she deserves. If you have an interest and ability to be a foster home, please visit our website  www.underdogrescuemn.com/foster-applications  and fill out a foster application.   NUTRITION: Nutrition is vital to the rehabilitation and life-long health of our pets.  All of our foster animals are fed a premium diet such as NutriSource, Canidae, Orijen, Nature's Variety, Fromm, Pure Vita, Stella and Chewy's, Primal, or balanced raw diet.  All adopters are required to continue providing premium diets for the life of the animal.   YOU CAN HELP: Not able to foster or adopt right now? Age: 3 months Estimated DOB 5/29/2025 Dog friendly: Yes Cat friendly: Yes Kid friendly: Yes Adoption fee:$595 Hi! My name is Matterhorn, but everyone just calls me Matty. I am full of puppy energy and when that's all gone, I love to cuddle with you on the couch! I came to Minnesota with my brother from Missouri. We were dumped and then sent to puppy jail. We were pretty sick with all the parasites that come with being a dumped puppy. Some nice lady decided to save us though and paid to get us treated so we are all better! Then we got the freedom ride to Minnesota and are living the good life! We love our foster family, but are still learning about life and are a little cautious when it comes to things we haven't met yet. We definitely need someone who is willing to give us the time and attention we didn't have when we were really little! We sleep together in a large pen in a room of our own. We are learning about crate training and potty training, but we aren't there yet. If you are looking for a strikingly handsome boy with a heart of gold, I am your man!

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Hey everyone…it’s me Pumpkin (also known as Toby by my foster mom.) I think I may be a Catalina leopard/border Collie mix. I am a sweet little puppy with lots of energy and spunk.  I really just want to play with everyone I meet.  I sleep through the night in a crate, or out of a crate in my foster mom’s bed.  I’m happy either way.  I am super smart and very food motivated.  I am house-trained and will let you know when I need to go out.  If it’s at night, I will whine a little to wake you otherwise, you can’t even hear a peep from me.  I’m a good puppy!   I love to give her cuddles and gentle kisses.  I am a little mouthy. No one told me that wasn’t allowed with hoomans so I’m trying to contain myself and in the meantime a little OW makes me stop and then I’ll just give you ‘the look’.  I would really enjoy having at least one dog fur sibling to play with.  My foster brother tires faster than me cause I’m the youngest and he is so old (like 50 years or older).  I have lots of energy that will need to be burned off and a brain that will need to be kept active.  I would love to go to training with you and play with other dogs my age.  Puppies need lots of socialization and exercise to make us good members of society.  I would love to get my Good Canine Certificate, then it’d show on paper what a good puppy I am. I do well on a leash and I’m super awesome in the car. My dream home would be one with a fenced in yard and another dog to run and play with.  A family to love me forever and ever,   I probably wouldn’t be the best around small young children because I’m still learning not to talk with my teeth. If you’re interested in meeting me, please let us know.  I am so excited to have a family to call my very own.  And I can always help clean up around the holidays!  so if I sound like the puppy you can’t live without, let’s meet.  See if it’s a match and go from there Adoption fee includes: Full veterinary exam, alter, prepaid microchip, dewormed, Rabies vaccine, DAPP vaccine, Bordetella vaccine, 4DX , flea/tick and heartworm preventative while in rescue. Adoption fee: $425.00  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Dumont  has lots of energy, as puppies do, and loves to play fetch. He likes to cuddle, gives lots of licks, and loves chew toys. Dumont would do best in a home without small children as his herding instincts are strong. Dumont tends to get nervous when people are out of his sight-line, he will need training to help him with this and  being around other animals. Dumont listens very well, and is potty trained. Dumont does have a non-weight bearing bone in his toe that is broken, but loves to run and jump all the same with no pain. Dumont will do best in a home as the only pet and with a family that likes to stay active with him.  Please feel free to fill out an ADOPTION APPLICATION by clicking on the button below.
