2 yr old, 90 lb Doberman Pinscher (Mix?) NEUTERED MALE for ADOPTION***************************COURTESY POST**********************************     Meet Squish!  This is a courtesy post. That means we are posting this listing as a courtesy to another rescue group who has the dog in their possession. Don't hit the button below because that will reply to us, not them, and we cannot tell you anything more about the dog as we do not have it in our possession. Email them as directed below if you have any questions or fill out their adoption application (also linked below) if you are interested in adopting.   Squish is with our friends at Recycled Pets NorCal   Please direct all inquries to recycledpetsnorcal@gmail.com. An adoption application can be found on their website at http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/dog-adoption-application   He is adoptable in the Greater Sacramento Area and within an approximate 2 hour driving radius   He is obviously Doberman Pinscher and is possibly mixed with German Shepherd (but he looks mostly, if not all Doberman).   Squish was abandoned in a rubbermaid tub outside a Spay/Neuter Clinic when he was just days old. He had suffered head trauma and it was a miracle that he survived.   By 10 weeks, he was healed and ready for a home of his own with no obvious signs of any long term issues. He was adopted, but he began to show some anxious behaviors, including spinning and barking, and he would bark at new people in a fearful way. His adopted family ignored our suggestions, chose not to get him into training right away, and his anxiety worsened, until they finally returned him to us   He is now around 2 yrs old and weighs around 90 lbs. He is a solid, BIG boy. He is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated and free of parasites.   He has completed basic training at Tug Dogs and is very eager to please.   Squish gets along GREAT with dogs of all sizes as long as they do not mind that he is a little anxious.   He likes children but would likely be best with older ones as he has the body awareness of a potato and doesn't know where he is stepping.  He has not been tested with cats, but is a little intense (nose-butts) the little dogs in his foster home, so would likely be fine with a dog-savvy cat who would just ignore him.   He will play fetch with his foster mom until her arm is ready to fall off. He also loves to play soccer (he will both try to kick and also block/catch the big rubber ball when it is kicked to him). If you will play any kind of ball game with him, he will love you.   He does have some stranger-danger and generalized anxiety (common for the breed) but once the stranger throws his ball for him he stops barking like they are robbing his bank. This is a very common in Dobermans as they were bred to guard their people. His best home would be one that had the same visitors over and over again or who did not have many people coming in and out.  Squish requires proper introductions (which we think all dogs should be given, regardless of their personality). His foster mom will show you that process and will set you up for success.   He takes a cheap medication for his anxiety (now well-controlled) that runs about $8/month per GoodRx. We will send him with a three month supply with refills authorized at the pharmacy of your choice for a total of one year (most allowed by law)   He is housebroken, crate trained, walks well on the leash and as you can see below -- he loves car rides even though he is really a homebody; he wants to be home with his people and all the balls he can find..   He does not need hikes or long walks or dog parks (nope, please no on the dog parks), he just needs a yard and a ball and a patient and loving new mom and/or dad.     He has a heart of absolute gold. He has some trust issues but once he knows you will not hurt him, he will be the most loyal and loving companion you have ever known. He is past his teenage brat phase, so it's nothing but well behaved love from here on out. Squish has the cutest docked tail (he came that way) that wiggles like crazy when he is really excited, which will melt your heart.   If you are interested in adopting Squish, please fill out an adoption application at http://recycledpetsnorcal.org/dog-adoption-application   Questions should be directed to the group who has him in their care Recycled Pets NorCal at recycledpetsnorcal@gmail.com   #startastoryadopt #shelterpetlove #recycledpetsnorcal #dobermanrescue #uohstrong   We are on all social media at @umbrellaofhope and we invite you to follow us and share which helps more people see and adopt our pets.  To help our ALL VOLUNTEER team rescue more senior, special needs, medically needy and hospice animals (and a few 'typical' ones along the way, please consider making a tax-deductible (TAX ID 45-4103375) donation online at www.paypal.me/UOH or Venmo @umbrellaof-hoperescue or Zelle beourpet@gmail.com.   You can also buy tees, tanks. sweatshirts, hats and bandannas where all proceeds benefit our animals https://ruff-life-rescue-wear.myshopify.com/collections/umbrella-of-hope We also have an Etsy store where the merchandise is made by volunteers and supporters, changes regularly and 100% of the proceeds benefit our medical fund https://www.etsy.com/shop/Umbrellaofhope Amazon Wish List tinyurl.com/pineapplewish

Meet Sheriff! He’s an approximate 1 yr. old Doberman who was rescued from the shelter and is looking for his forever home. He’s neutered and utd on vaccinations. He’s been in training learning leash skills and socialization. He’s good with other dogs big and small with proper introductions. He’s done well with a dog savvy 8 year old boy. He’s medium to high energy, so he needs a job. He’s a little leery of strangers so he needs a few minutes to warm up. He’s crate trained, potty trained and will make someone a great companion. He’s a goofy, fun boy who loves his toys and hopes to win your heart over. Application, home check and adoption fee required. 916-996-5777

Sasha is a very people oriented gal, she leans, she loves, she weaves a bit on leash, loves to be literally in touch with her people/person. Sasha is lovely, affectionate and though athletic and active she also has a very mellow side! She wants to hang out with her family, in the house, the yard, chillin', but grab the leash or the car keys and she'll be bouncing along right next to you - saying "Come on, Let's GO!!"

Story
Hi I am looking for a home where someone can provide me lots of long walks. Currently in my foster care I am going to the beach, on leash, and go to a dog park on occasion, along with being provided long walks. I am good with most dogs as long as they don't overwhelm me. I am a bit of an escape artist, rather known being a Min Pin, though I am a mix. Once I get to know my people I trust and want to be with them Love to cuddle on a warm lap and hang out with my foster family. I have a good appetite, and burn my calories with my active lifestyle and very fit. If your have the time and lifestyle. It would be best for me to be in a home with children over 12 years. It would be fun to live wtih a critter, like a mellow cat or dog, but I would be happy also being on my own as long as someone could provide me some quality time. Please contact Maryann at 925 297 7915 or email to meet me. I will be waiting. Thank you!
