Story
My name is Brody and I am estimated to be about 7-10 months old.  I have seen a lot of the bad side of humanity in my short life, details of which I will not get into here.  I am in rescue now and so glad to be here. I love to play with other dogs and am quite a talker.  I also passed a cat test. Of course I am cute but what puppy isn’t? My forever family must have prior current Doberman experience so they know and understand what goes into training and working with a young Doberman.  They must also agree to take me to obedience training classes.  The other adoption criteria and adoption area can be found at www.doberescue-ne.org.All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked. All of the above Dobes are pure breed Dobermans unless otherwise noted. We hope you can find a place in your heart and your home for one of our rescue Dobes. Please Note:In most cases we require a fenced yard.We do not place our rescue dogs in homes with very young children (under the age of 8 years). We set these limitations, not because of aggression issues with our dogs, but because Dobermans are generally large, active dogs and can easily knock down, run over or easily trip a small child, causing a serious fall. Also, we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. Our adoption area encompasses Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.Copyright © 2007 - Omaha Doberman RescueFor more information or to fill out an adoption request please visithttp://www.doberescue-ne.org/

Story
My name is Odin and I turned 2 last July.  I came in to rescue with my littermate/sister Freya.  Our owner had to give us up due to a change in family circumstances.  All of our lives Freya and I had been together but tragedy struck and I lost her. I am doing all right and making lots of friends.  I know she would want me to move forward  and I am bravely soldering on, ready to find a forever home. I am an energetic playful boy, used to having lots of exercise.   My former owner trained me with positive reinforcement and I know “come” “lie down” and “sit”.  I am affectionate.  I can be vocal when I meet other dogs on leash and get overly excited about that but I have been in play groups with other dogs in rescue.  It is not known how I would do with a cat.  I was housebroken and crate trained in my former home but may need time to adjust in my new one. I am a happy boy who loves life.  If you are interested in me please go to www.doberescue and review the adoption requirements and area and if you qualify please place an application there. All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. Story
My name is Sam and I am estimated to be about two years old.  I was dumped and left to fend for myself and dogs don’t keep track of birthdays but the rescue vet is pretty sure two is a close age.  I am a very nice boy.  I like people and other dogs and really love playing with other Dobermans in play group.  Zach and I are BFF!  We could play all day long and love hanging out together every chance we get. I don’t do too badly on leash, ride nicely in the car and am a heart stealer which is appropriate with Valentine’s Day almost upon us. Please go to www.doberescue-ne.org, review the rescue adoption rules and area and if you are interested in me please put in an application. All of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed.
