Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Cora, a senior Doberman girl, who found herself homeless when her owner died. Cora is the sweetest girl ever and will fit into just about any home. She easily has joined her foster home which includes 6 other Dobermans with not an issue, and all the other Dobermans LIKE her! All Cora wants is to cuddle on the couch with you, or on her blankets. She isn't much for getting wild and crazy with playing as her foster puppy brother gave it a try and she turned him down. Cora is reliable housebroke. We have found Cora is not to fond of kibble but prefers canned or soft food, which we are giving her. She rides really nice in a car, goes up and down steps like a trooper. She is for sure a peoples dog, she wants to be with people all the time. She would be great for a retire couple/person. Cora is hypothyroid and takes a twice daily, low cost thyroid medication, and did you know, 20% of all Dobermans will be found to be hypothyroid and require medications to control it and feel better. If you are interested in an easy going Doberman or a first time Doberman owner, Cora would be a perfect dog in your home!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Little Zahra and her litter siblings are all looking for homes with fenced yards, lot of opportunities to learn new things and grow up to be the best dog she could ever be for her humans! We are currently working on crate and potty training. Zahra is getting exposed to as much as possible so she can be the best doggy ever. Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Please help us!! UDR is in need of FOSTER HOMES for the following animals: 1) Redford 2) Sunny 3) Rebel   Typically we try to evaluate  most of our adoptable dogs temperament  with a senior UDR rescuer before it goes into a foster home. This helps ensure we lace it in the right foster home. We may have some dogs in rescue who are not on our website, we are getting to know, and who may need a foster home. Our goal is to place dogs in the right foster and adoptive homes! Of course it is up to the fosters to further evaluate the dogs while they are living in the home.  New arrivals coming soon! We partner with Doberman Rescue of Northern Texas and many other rescues across the US and world, and have Dobermans coming in every month. We can always use fosters to be on the ready to foster one of these new arrivals!           Please apply on our website to foster, or give a shout out if you can help any of these dogs!! As always fosters get the first chance to adopt! You provide a safe, loving home with daily structure until your foster dog gets adopted. Time frame is anywhere from a couple weeks to a few months. If you have a dog, your dog may like a friend. We try match up the dog with the foster home best suited for each dog in need. UDR supplies all the dog food, some supplies and always pays for vet care. Going on vacation and worried you will have to find a place for your foster dog?? NO worries!!!Know we DO have numerous options for vacation boarding and doing temporary fostering of your foster dog while you take that much needed vacation. We are also in need of short term fosters, those foster homes who would take in a foster dog on a short term basis, a weekend, a week or two, even to help in emergency or medical situations. Please fill out our foster application today and help a dog in need!!!  Fosters get first chance to adopt their foster dogs, so this might be a great way to "test" out your new friend. Fostering has its perks!! Many fosters do join the foster failure club, meaning they end up adopting their foster dog! Why should I foster a dog? Fostering a dog is one of the most rewarding experiences you can have (other than adopting, of course). By taking an animal in need temporarily into your home you’re: freeing up a spot so a shelter can take in another dog. giving your foster dog the time he needs to be ready for adoption. helping us learn more about the dog so he can end up in the best home possible. socializing the dog to a home environment and possibly getting him used to being around other pets and different types of people. Thank you for helping us help them! Fostering saves lives. Be a hero, foster a dog in need! Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Sheila is a one year old female Doberman who can be described as bubbly, bouncy, happy, playful, busy, sweet and she tries really hard to do what you ask of her, but sometimes she forgets and needs direction because she is young! Sheila is a very nice girl, with lots of energy to burn, who loves to play with an equally playful dog, loves attention from humans, but enjoys suntanning outdoors in the warm spring sunshine when its time to chill! A goofball for sure! She would love to hang out on the couch watching some TV with her humans and canine companions too, once shes had her extra energy burned off with a high energy run, walk or game of ball! Yes she is a high energy girl, so not for the couch potato kind of home, or a home that can not give her the energy release she will need every day!! She is just an all around easy, fun, kind of girl for a very active home. Sheila is fully vetted and ready to be adopted!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
