Story
Tala was born 2014 & we brought her home as a pup from an AKC breeder. We had an older, passive Dobie in the house, but we misread her puppy energy- she was actually very stressed by him. When he passed, she was totally calm & happy. We got a small Dog 2 months later & her stress tendencies returned. She loves being an only dog. She is good with adults & older kids, but is very tense around people with dark skin tones. She is extremely loyal, and we have tried several tactics to keep her calm and happy; long walks on the farm without the other dogs, separate play times & areas, calming supplements, but she is getting more aggressive with the other dogs. She had one litter, and is now spayed. She loves her people, but she is very stressed with other dogs and we feel it isn’t fair to her anymore. She tolerates horses, but doesn’t like cows. In a lone-dog environment, she would be very content. She just can’t handle other animals in the home.

This is a courtesy post on behalf of Doberman Pinscher Rescue of PA. Char-Wills German Shepherd Rescue has not evaluated this dog and makes no representations, actual or implied, about him/her. She is currently at Char-Wills Rescue. Did I hear “sit, stay, come, down”? ! Well if I did, I am the dog for you. My name is Nova and I had my second birthday on October 24, 2019. I am a female Doberman mix. Once I meet you, I will be your best friend. I seem to like cats and when they hiss at me, I actually just walk away. My walking skills on a leash are good and I really love to go for long walks. I also grew up with young children and love them. I am such a big mush and love to give kisses! Nova is spayed, micro chipped, and up to date on all her shots. She is a very smart girl and is looking for that special person to love her. A home with no small dogs and only a male dog of her size would be best. If you have what it takes to provide Nova with the right home, please complete an application at www.dprpa.org/applicationform. Do NOT submit your application to Char-Wills as this is not our dog.
