Story
Leia has been a part of our family for over 7 years and we love her so much. I have never considered giving Leia up in the past, but we now have a 10 month old son who is walking. We have to keep Leia gated in the front of the house by herself because she will growl at him anytime he comes close to her or even walks in her direction. It's not fair to Leia to be kept quarantined away from us by herself. Also, it makes me extremely uncomfortable not knowing what would happen if she got to him when we weren't looking or paying attention for one second. We have dealt with Leia having some temperamental issues in the past, she has a tendency to show her teeth randomly but especially around her food area, and her acting aggressively toward dogs she doesn't know. Unfortunately, we have to prioritize the safety of our son at this point as difficult as it is. We are prepared to keep her as long as it takes to find her the perfect second home.

(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details

Story
We adopted Snicker around Halloween, 2019 from the local shelter. We were told they knew nothing about her, they picked her up wandering the desert. She was neutered at the shelter before we adopted. It has been around 5 months and we realize now that she needs more attention then we can provide for her, as we both work full time. When adopted, the shelter estimated her at around 1.5 yes, but we think that she was younger. She is a chewer, but really only chews her toys and bones, sometimes she will chew something small such as a pen, a lid, etc. but she doesn’t seem to seek out things to chew. She hasn’t ruined any furniture. She does dig, but has been directed to an area and seems to keep to that when directed. She appears very timid to stern voice, so I am unsure if she was punished by someone before us. I did take her to pet training at pet smart. She learned fast, but the training hasn’t stuck, more to my inconsisteny. Happy, playful, very loving. Needs room to run and jump.

Story
We have been fostering Hank for two years. He is a mixed breed. He is very active and has an amazing sense of smell. I think he would be very trainable but we are unable to speed the time with him. We have had our challenges and are fearful of his behavior with other dogs. We have had good experiences when encountering other dogs on our walks but we feel that he has fear-based anxiety. We are very social in our home. We tell our guests to ignore him and do no reach out and pet him. He is very moody in the evening.... but he needs to be close to you. He sleeps under the covers in our bed...I guess that's a Dauschund trait. He loves to burrow. He is adorable, cute and cocks his head as if he is listening to every word you say. We need to find a loving master for him who will work with him and hopefully conquer some of his issues. Hank was scheduled to be put down, we had no history on him at all.
