Stewie is a male Chihuahua who was born about 2/2014. He is neutered, heart worm positive(but staying on monthly prevention will cause the worms to die off in a few years), and up to date on shots. He gets along well with other dogs, cats, and kids. Stewie was found as a stray and found himself in a kill shelter. We were able to save him before his last day came. He now wants a home that he can call his own.

Story
Monique is a female Lhasa Apso who was born about 1/2009. She is spayed, up to date on shots, and heart worm negative. She gets along with other dogs and cats. She would do best in a home without children as she does not like a lot of activity she prefers to spend her days lounging about as a princess should. Monique had an owner who loved her very much but he had a fall and ended up not being able to care for himself and no one in the family wanted her so they took her to a local animal control. Monique is hoping for another home that will love her as much as her first daddy did.

Story
Adoption Fee: $300 Fostered in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Age: 7 years Weight: 8.4 lbs. 2/25/20 - Tanner is feeling awesome months after he completed heartworm treatment. He has really come a long way since we first got him. He has put on weight and is a great solid 8.4 lbs. now. He is a clingy guy that would love to be the only dog or at least only 1 or 2 in the home that understand he doesn't want to play with other dogs. He is ALL ABOUT HIS PEOPLE. Loves to hug and absolutely loves to be hugged. Would not mind being carried around and loved on all the time. Loves sleeping in the bed right next to his human. If you aren't getting the picture, Tanner is a sweetheart that wants his people all the time. He can get a little jealous of other dogs that want as much attention as he wants, so it would be best if another dog wasn't as clingy. He also does not want to go outside and do his business unless you are out with him. He is good about doing business outside, but don't think you are going to open the door and let him out and go back in for anything. He will quickly come running if he sees you walking away. CLINGY!! He also LOVES toys. Enjoys tearing some up, loves fetch and will bring a toy back to you if you throw it and if you say "Tanner, go get a toy", he will run and look for one and bring it to you. Someone will be VERY lucky if they get this handsome, sweet, loving boy! Do you feel lucky? 8/27/19 - Tanner started his first round of heartworm treatment yesterday and will be coming home today for 4 weeks of staying calm. Keep him in your prayers. 8/7/19 - Tanner was neutered and had his teeth yesterday and is feeling great. He will start heartworm treatment in approximately 20 days. 7/13/19 - I’ve been through a lot, no one really knows The extent of my heartache, and how deep it goes Prior to being rescued,I did not receive much food My stomach was always grumbling, and I was in a sad mood Food wasn’t the only thing I lacked, heartworm prevention was apparently too much to give As a result I’m heartworm positive now, but never lost my will to live Love from my human was something I never experienced, so now I soak up all I can get I’m not just a taker, I give so much in return, and my zest for life is something that just won’t quit I refuse to be unhappy because of my past, because my new life has begun If you smile at me, I’ll smile right back, and from here on out it’s nothing but fun I love my people and everyone I meet. I'm a very hearty eater, am perfect for a bath and blow dry. When I first arrived at my foster home, I wasn't so sure about the human bed, but now there is no kicking me out. I play fetch like no ones business, and absolutely, absolutely, LOVE toys. I don't really play with my foster fur-siblings, but foster mom says that is more their fault than mine since they aren't players. I follow my foster mom and dad everywhere and raise up on their legs to get hugs. I will be starting heartworm treatment in about 30 days and then once I am negative and have been neutered and had my teeth clean, I will be ready to show my new family just what a catch I am. I know my last owners did not think so, but foster mom and dad say that something was wrong with them, NOT ME. 7/5/19 - BIO COMING SOON!

Story
Tar is a female Lab mix born about 11/2012. She is spayed and up to date on shots. She gets along great with other dogs, but has never been around cats so we don't know how she would do with them. She would probably do well with children. Tar belongs to an elderly lady who has a good heart and because of her big heart she has aquired too many dogs. We must help this lady find good homes for some of her dogs so she can get down to a manageable number. Tar would love a home to call her own where she can finally know one on one attention, can you be that home?
