Story
Heath is a high energy loving dog. He loves to be held like a baby and have all the attention. He is currently homed with 6 children and 2 cats. He scares the cats with his energy but he does just want to sniff and play. He doesn't try to harm them at all! We had an older dog from the time we adopted Heath and he was great growing up with her. But I do not know how well he will do with an additional dog in a new territory. I would recommend no other pets. He can be protective of his food and may growl if you try to take it. It's best to let him eat. He loves to run. He loves to cuddle. He would do best in a fenced yard in case he escapes. He needs some leash training as he does tug sometimes. He is house trained. He is crate trained. He loves his hamburger toy! He loves to run! He loves to cuddle! He loves to LICK! He LOVES water! He can open some doors and gates and latches. He is STRONG! He is a great loving wild pup!

Story
Looking to re-home our dog to a loving home. His name is Rascal, he is a 5 year old boxer mix and we have owned him since he was a puppy. He is an anxious dog with tons of energy and is potty and crate trained, he knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and sometimes he will stay. He will come with a few toys and a crate. He has a high prey drive and doesn't like cats or small dogs. He does well with others dogs with the same energy level. He is up to date on all shots and vaccines and is fixed.

Story
Ajax is a 7 year old male Mixed Breed dog. He is our longest resident, waiting over 2 years for his forever home. He is always very excited to get out into the yard to run around a little but his favorite pastime is sunbathing and being a couch potato. He is a teddy bear deep down inside, and once you get to know him you get to see his soft side. He loves walks and giving kisses and will lay right by you when you're chillin’ watching tv. He is a loud mouth if you meet him in the kennel, but please understand that this is the most stable home he has ever had and he is just protecting his space. Once he gets outside and is able to stretch his legs a little he can let his true self shine. He likes to be the one in charge and will pick his canine friends accordingly and most likely wouldn't be the best with cats. He would do well in a home with adults and those who can respect dogs. He has been patiently waiting for years (literally) for a home to call his own. Could it be with you? He is neutered, heartworm negative, and up to date on vaccinations. He weighs about 63 lbs. Intake date 7/24/2017""When Ajax first came to the shelter, he had heart worms. Getting treatment meant having to be cooped up in his kennel. He wasn't suppose to get excited, or run around. So, through his treatment volunteers sat with him, told him bedtime stories, pet, brushed, gave belly rubs and extra snacks. Now he is heart worm free, and loves running around outside and cuddling. He is ready for the forever home we told him about in his bedtime stories.""All Dog Adoption Fee's are $150 Cats are $75Includes initial Vaccinations, De-Worming, Flea Meds, Heartworm Testing, & Spay/Neuter Adoption Application - http://vwchs.com/forms/AFORM.pdf
