Story
Rufus is a 2 and a half year old young man who came in to us as an owner surrender. In the short time we have had him we have come to find that Rufus has quite the playful side. He does need to continue to work on his leash manners but we think he would make a fine hiking companion and adventure buddy!

Story
My name is Barley, AKA the Jumping Bean. Please note, I am small and can't jump high. I am very, very shy. I have had some hard times and can be skittish around new people, but I am starting to come out of my shell. I am a social butterfly with other dogs. I will need a fenced yard because I am terrified of leashes. The staff at SFAS have been working hard with me to help me gain more confidence. I so want to be loved on, but it will take a patient human, preferably a female, to let me learn how to trust and build a relationship. I would do best in quiet home with no children that is quiet. Hint Hint...Vienna Sausages help, a lot.

Story
Chief is 4 years old. I got him when he was only six weeks old. He is a sweet, loving, smart dog. One fault: he’s an escape artist. He will never escape if you’re home with him and when he does escape, he usually just runs around to the front of the house and hangs out in the yard. He can jump pretty high. He’s amazing around kids. He grew up next to a daycare and I would take him over to visit the kids and they would jump and play all over him and he just let them. He’s very obedient and knows a few tricks. He’s scared of guns; if you take him with you to shoot he will run off, but always comes right back. Chief got me through a lot of rough times. I’m a retired military vet and he’s had my back. Because of my situation, I have to relocate. Chief would be confined to an apartment all day. I don’t want to do that to him. He needs wide open spaces to roam around with a tall fence. He needs a good family or individual that he can trust who will be good to him and love him.

Story
Here is sweet and easy in cow dog form. Rainie is a three year old mix of cow dog class and sass. She is cute and round and ready to roll. Rainie is fairly friendly with all, but cats are an unknown at this time. Rainie would like some room to roam and a property to patrol. She would also like some affection and maybe a rawhide chew every now and then.
