Story
This is mean 'ol Malone! This poor boy is not so nice... and that's putting it mildly! We have named him Malone because he just wants to be left alone! He was brought here after being picked up running along the highway as a stray. He jumped in the man's vehicle and befriended him immediately. The man knew we were the only ones that would not kill him, so he immediately brought him here at 5:30 in the evening..... So the story goes! Do we believe a dog that is this bad of a fear biter was handled by a stranger? Humm....I dont think so! Anyway Malone wanted to eat us and was one of the worst cases of fear biting we have dealt with. It took three days before we could touch him without a catch pole. He is slowly warming up to people. From the looks of Malones neck it is obvious he was chained. When we tried to get him to play ball, he cowered like he had been beaten. At only about a year old from the looks of his teeth, what could this boy do so wrong to be so fearful? Ones like him just break our hearts...and its going to take a VERY SPECIAL person with experience dealing with a dog like this. Malone doesn't seem to know any commands at all...but we are working on it slowly. Malone brings to mind the TRUE meaning of a NO-KILL shelter which we are, thanks to our wonderful donors, THANK YOU! Every animal deserves a forever home, and a dog like Malone deserves one too....but, he will definitely need an experienced handler/adopter who will take the time (like us) to work with him and get him over his fears. He will be best in a home with NO young kids, no cats, and no other dogs. Please visit: www.PetPalsInc.org (Helping save lives the best we can. As a private LICENSED (state & Federal) nonprofit group we receive no govt. funding. 100% of donations go to help animals. All of our funding for our animals comes from kind - hearted animal lovers like yourself.) If you would like to SPONSOR the care of MALONE (so we can continue to work with him and let him know that not every human being is mean to animals)....or anyone of our animals while we work on adopting them out, you can donate for $10.00 or more to our organization per month. Please specify which animal you would like to sponsor and we will include your first name ONLY as in "Sponsored by" on their page. Each animal can be sponsored by more than one person. Please click on the PayPal donation button below for a safe & secure donation. Our animals THANK YOU as do we! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE help us. Donations are desparately needed so that we can continue to save more lives like Malone....and train them to be the great dogs that they CAN BE!

After two years, Sarah was returned to Pet Pals when her family was moving. What a world we live in to be scared a family member might be killed because of their looks. We know through the tears it was hard to return her, but she is safe. Sarah LOVES to play keep-away. She also minds very well. Please fill out an application, if you are interested.

Story
When a sobbing Mother calls saying her 21 year old son hung himself could we please take his dog, how could we say no? What this Mother is going through nobody should have to experience. Delilah, we are calling Lila, just turned one year old a few days ago October 12th, the day her guardian hung himself. How sad. Lila is a very scared little girl. One of her young family members thought it was a cute trick to teach her to growl so this she does frequently. She gets along great with cats. We are working with Lila to get her housebroken. Lila has not had a single accident in her kennel. Poor Lila is so scared. Can you help her and give her the home she deserves? If so, please fill out our automatic adoption application found on our home page. (Helping save lives the best we can.
