Story
Since having been surrendered to a shelter by her original owner last summer, sweet Honey has been patiently waiting for a home to call her own. She passed through a few hands and came to our care in sad condition, but is now ready for adoption. Honey weighs 60 pounds and was born in June 2016. She came to us with an injury of unknown cause to the tip of her tail, but it’s now healing quite nicely. Honey has spent time with dog-savvy children around 10 years of age and is very good with them. She is selective with other dogs, but plays well with a small dog at her foster’s. Honey is a very affectionate girl, and bonds quickly with her people. She is clean in the house, crate trained, and knows a few commands. Honey has quite the playful side but also knows how settle down nicely when it’s quiet time. She will pull a bit on leash at first but is a bright and eager student, so good leash manners should be easy for her. Honey would do best in a house with a fenced yard for safe playtime, and an experienced active adopter with lots of time to spend with her.
