NUTMEG IS PART OF A BONDED PAIR WITH THEODORE (FF2358), THEY MUST BE ADOPTED TOGETHER.Nutmeg is a beautiful, medium haired calico. Nutmeg came into care at roughly six weeks old. The kittens had no socialization and were semi-feral. Nutmeg was the shyest of the kittens and still doesn't like to be touched. She is a sweet cat, loves to play and loves other cats. She needs a home that will let her continue to grow at her very slow pace. Nutmeg would do best in an adult only home given how timid she is. She loves to chase light beams and watch the birds outside. She is also an excellent bug catcher.

Hi there! Let me tell you about myself. I came into Animal Care and Control in Edmonton as a stray. This rescue took me in and I went to a foster home. I have a crumpled ear, not sure what happened to cause that but I don't let it bug me! Shortly after coming into care, I was acting weird, just not well. Some tests were done, and it turns out I have FIV, similar to human HIV but, and this is a BIGGIE, it is only something cats can get, NOT people or other non-cats. With proper care, a good diet, vet care as needed, I could live a good long life :) Only hitch, I should not be with cats who are FIV negative. Wouldn't want to risk infecting another, as small of a percent it is, but you know, us kitties do like to lick each other and share the litter box. Would be awesome to find another lonely FIV+ cat to share my life with if we get along, but if not, an only cat is pretty cool too! I love humans, am a cuddle bug, and have a preference to the ladies although the guys are good for cuddles too!! I am a gentle soul, who hopes the scary words FIV+ doesn't scare you off, after all love is love, family is family and we all deserve that don't you think?? The rescue would be happy to speak with you further on my "condition" although I think it's far better to speak with you about wonderful me and my personality! Love Stetson
