Story
***Thank you for your interest in Magnificent Mutts and Meows.  We hope everyone is saying safe during this challenging time.  We wanted to take a moment and advise our supporters and adopters that due to the current Shelter in Place order set forth by Governor Pritzker we will not be having adoption events until further notice.  As an all foster based rescue this means that all meets will be by appointment only pending our foster, and adoption team’s availability.  Therefore, the whole family must be available to do the meet at their given appointment day and time.  There will be no second meets scheduled to help limit contact between our team and the public.  So, please before submitting an application make sure your current pets are up to date, you have landlord/HOA approval, and that you are prepared to take the dog home with you immediately.  This will help our team streamline the process and allow for us to place current dogs in foster homes and be able to save more dogs in need. *** Wendy just arrived! She was networked by a rescue partner in the south.  It is obvious that Wendy has had several litters so most likely she was used for breeding purposes and then discarded.  She is approx 6 years.  She is a very sweet girl who only wants affection and some place to call her own.   More information and restrictions could be added once she settles into foster care. Breed and size once full grown is not a guarantee as he came into rescue without either parent.  If you are interested in adoption, please complete the Application to Adopt which you can find on our website (  www.magnificentmutts.org  )  No phone calls please.  Emails only. Adoption Donation $300 (cash only)  Please visit www.magnificentmutts.org for the online dog or cat application. Adoption Fees* Adult cats starting at $125, Kittens starting at $165. Dogs/Puppies starting at $225 minimum Prices subject to change, please contact for specific adoption donations.

Story
Charger is an affectionate, loyal, smart 7 year old Dutchie. He loves walks and car rides. His favorite treat is string cheese and he loves having his back rubbed and his behind scratched. I adopted him at 3. He had a rough life before he came to live with me, but has since made incredible strides. He has mild separation anxiety and takes medication to help him feel confident when we're not home with him. Other than that, he is model of good health. Charger is my best friend, and all I ask is that he is loved and can become your best friend.

Story
Meet Koby JuM Name: My name is Koby. Favorite Outfit: I prefur to wear just a tie because I am very confident with my body image. But if I had to wear an entire outfit I would choose a classic white and baby blue Seersucker suit to keep it breezy on these hot summer days while I partake in activities like hiking in the mountains or strolling by the sea. Age/Weight/Breed: I am young enuff to still have enuff pep in my step to enjoy activities, but old enuff to know words like “sit” and “shake” at about 5 years old. I only weigh 50 pounds, but my focus is quality not quantity. I am a Dutch Shepherd and Pitbull mix with a brindle coat and distinkguished silver fibers on my muzzle. Favorite Golden Girl: I am going to choose Blanche Deveroux, as I know how it is to feel like everyone is jealous of me all the time due to my fine looks. For this reason, I need slower intros to male dogs, but LOVE the females right off. Best Qualities: Non-borker, non-jumper, non-annoyer. What Really Chaps His Hide: My general temperament is happy, easy going, dang cheerful really, like sunshine beams jumping off my teeth. But people or other dogs near my food really chaps my hide. I use my grrrrrrr to tell them to back off. I have never snapped at any dogs or people, most have understood that grrrrr means, “back the heck up, this is mine”. I am improving on my food guarding every day as I learn that food is in copious amounts now and not something I have to struggle to protect. The Irony: Oddly enuff, even though I protect my dinner, I am ever so gentle when taking a treat from a human fingertip. I really LOVE people. Favorite Fictional Character: Curious George. I too am curious and love to monkey around. I would totally also escape the zoo to sniff around the big city. I love to go on explorations! We could go on car rides to explore places, I love car rides. Medical Update: I failed my heartworm test! No fair, I didn’t even get to study. It was a pop quiz! Missus Volunteer said it was not a surprise, lots of Texas dogs get worms in their heart because of mosquitoes. I already received my treatment and I am resting up as the injection clobbers the heck out of those worms. I will be good as new and hope to pass my follow up exam. Final Ask: I was an outdoor dog before and it was sad because I really wanted to be with my people. Missus Volunteer told me a bedtime story that was all about smart people that keep their pets inside the house. I was like whaaaatttttt? I am really really really hoping that is a true story. Can I come live in your house? GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website. God's Dogs Rescue will remain as a permanent back up registration for safety sake. Please visit our website http://godsdogsrescue.org/ for helpful information re: transport, our adoption process and application, volunteering and fostering, and photos of our dogs/pups looking for homes!!
