Story
Meet Koby JuM Name: My name is Koby. Favorite Outfit: I prefur to wear just a tie because I am very confident with my body image. But if I had to wear an entire outfit I would choose a classic white and baby blue Seersucker suit to keep it breezy on these hot summer days while I partake in activities like hiking in the mountains or strolling by the sea. Age/Weight/Breed: I am young enuff to still have enuff pep in my step to enjoy activities, but old enuff to know words like “sit” and “shake” at about 5 years old. I only weigh 50 pounds, but my focus is quality not quantity. I am a Dutch Shepherd and Pitbull mix with a brindle coat and distinkguished silver fibers on my muzzle. Favorite Golden Girl: I am going to choose Blanche Deveroux, as I know how it is to feel like everyone is jealous of me all the time due to my fine looks. For this reason, I need slower intros to male dogs, but LOVE the females right off. Best Qualities: Non-borker, non-jumper, non-annoyer. What Really Chaps His Hide: My general temperament is happy, easy going, dang cheerful really, like sunshine beams jumping off my teeth. But people or other dogs near my food really chaps my hide. I use my grrrrrrr to tell them to back off. I have never snapped at any dogs or people, most have understood that grrrrr means, “back the heck up, this is mine”. I am improving on my food guarding every day as I learn that food is in copious amounts now and not something I have to struggle to protect. The Irony: Oddly enuff, even though I protect my dinner, I am ever so gentle when taking a treat from a human fingertip. I really LOVE people. Favorite Fictional Character: Curious George. I too am curious and love to monkey around. I would totally also escape the zoo to sniff around the big city. I love to go on explorations! We could go on car rides to explore places, I love car rides. Medical Update: I failed my heartworm test! No fair, I didn’t even get to study. It was a pop quiz! Missus Volunteer said it was not a surprise, lots of Texas dogs get worms in their heart because of mosquitoes. I already received my treatment and I am resting up as the injection clobbers the heck out of those worms. I will be good as new and hope to pass my follow up exam. Final Ask: I was an outdoor dog before and it was sad because I really wanted to be with my people. Missus Volunteer told me a bedtime story that was all about smart people that keep their pets inside the house. I was like whaaaatttttt? I am really really really hoping that is a true story. Can I come live in your house? GOD'S DOGS Rescue, in San Antonio TX, does not have a shelter. Our dogs are raised in foster homes in the San Antonio area. Each dog comes spayed or neutered, up-to-date with age appropriate vaccinations, micro-chipped, heartworm tested and are current with monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventatives. ALL OF THIS IS INCLUDED IN THE ADOPTION FEE OF $400 for dogs over a year old, which also includes the cost of transportation to the assigned location. Medical records accompany each dog at the time of delivery and may be emailed to adopter prior to dog arrival if desired. Microchips will be automatically registered to the new owner after payment of adoption fee. The registration site we use is Michelson Found Animals which is free to use and update during the lifetime of your pet. Please allow 24-48 hours for the new information to appear on the website. God's Dogs will remain as the permanent back up registration for safety sake. Please visit our website http://godsdogsrescue.org/ for helpful information re: transport, our adoption process and application, volunteering and fostering, and photos of our dogs/pups looking for homes!! You really need to see the markings on my feet -my foster family is so impressed! When you meet me you might feel as though I am shy or submissive, but know that it takes me a little time to warm up to people. What I have figured out is that I love to be pet and held. Story
Hi! I'm Ned! Have you ever heard such a cool name for a dog? Unlike most humans (I heard you are all quarantined in your houses), I was able to take a spring break trip to Minnesota! I came from Alabama, where I was in a really great shelter that rescued me. Now that I am in MN I get to start over with a new story! I am a 2-year-old Belgian Malinois. I am a very fast learner and very loyal to my humans. I am about 55 pounds but am very small compared to my 60-pound foster sister who is a yellow lab. I absolutely LOVE my foster sister and I hear my foster Mom tell her friends that I look to her to show me how to feel safe and confident-since I'm a bit timid due to all the changes in my life. I rely on her to make me more comfortable to get on my leash, go outside to go potty, sleep in my kennel at night, and learn that humans love to snuggle and pet me. The first night I tried to sleep in the kennel without her in my sight I barked and cried-then my foster mom thought to bring her down to stay in her kennel next to mine and I got the best night sleep! I like to go in and out of my kennel during the day and take breaks on my own, I even like the door shut-as long as I can see my humans and my foster sister. Wrestling with my fur sister is the best! I like to have fun, but I am very gentle even though sometimes I make some silly noises. I rarely bark, even when people or trucks stop by. I am doing a good job going potty outside while on a leash; I still need to figure out a way to tell my humans that I need to go out. I have had a few accidents in the house but as long as my humans keep an eye on me, I will learn in no time. In the first few days of my stay, I have learned to sit; I picked it up very quickly! I take treats very gently, eat twice a day, love to take naps and go for car rides! The first few times you meet me I am initially very timid but please keep in mind that I have been through a lot and am learning what it's like to live the good life. I am not yet a lap dog or a cuddle bug. I like short cuddles on the floor when I am sleepy, and don’t mind a scratch behind my ear but other than that I'd rather get affection from my fur foster sister. If you are sitting in a chair, I might put my front paws on you and let you scratch my head. I am becoming a little more outgoing in the kitchen when you are cooking, and I might try to peak up onto the counter to see what's cooking! Since I am still working through my timid shyness I would do best in a home with another canine companion that can help me build my confidence and show me how to be the best dog that I can be! I would love a family who is home more than away and will include me in daily walks, play time and companionship. Do you think that I might be a good fit for your home? I sure hope so! I can’t wait to start my new life!--------------------------------------------All our Warrior Dogs will have all age appropriate medical care and vaccines, a microchip, and spay/neuter before adoption unless age is a factor with a puppy younger than 6-12 months at the time of adoption. If that is the case, the spay/neuter will be covered in the adoption fee and the owner will be responsible to have the procedure completed at a Warrior Dog Rescue Veterinarian at the appropriate time. Please note that the majority of our dogs in rescue are from shelters where they have been found as strays or abandoned. Their breed description is based on our very best educated guess based on physical characteristics and their dispositions. If they came to our rescue as an owner surrender, the breed description will be listed as provided by the previous owner.Adoption Fee - $450To apply for this pup, please submit an Adoption Application at http://warriordogrescue.com/adopt/adoption-application/

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi I'm Carmelo!  I am one of the sweetest, smartest and best dogs my foster parents have ever had. I'm about a year and 8 months old and came all the way from Puerto Rico to find my fur-ever home. They say I'm a German shepherd mix, but my foster mom has a hunch I may actually be an Australian shepherd mix. I love people and am good with most dogs as long as we have proper introductions, but I have yet to meet any cats. I do have some trouble with sharing, so I should eat my food, bones and treats separately from other animals.    When my humans have to leave I go right into my kennel and am quiet as long as my foster sister is in the same room as me. I have learned to potty outside as long as I'm kept on a schedule. I'll even sit in front of the door to let the peoples know I gotta go. I am very food motivated and it's helped me learn things so fast! I have lots of energy and I love to play, so I'm looking for a family who has time to take me on walks and play with me every day.   If you would like to hear more about me please fill out an application and we can meet!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Interested in adopting this lovable animal? Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Are you looking for a canine family member that enjoys a nice walk, but is just as happy to sit on the couch and watch your favorite TV show? If yes, Rio might just be your man! Rio is a German Shepherd mix, estimated DOB is 10/2016. This handsome fellow weighs in around 45 lbs, a perfect size for a dog. Rio walks well on a harness, and overall is a calm dog. He does have short spurts of energy and excitement (especially when it is time for food!), and will occasionally jump up or mouth because he’s just so happy. For this reason he might do best with children that are a little older. While Rio’s foster family is at work he chills out in his kennel. He shows his disappoint in not getting to go with, but settles down quickly, especially if he’s given a treat filled Kong. When his family returns each day he shares his excitement with the household. Shared walls might not be a great choice for this guy. After running free in Puerto Rico for the first few years of his life, he’s quickly adapting to doggie rules in a household in Minnesota. He knows sit and wait (but it is so hard to do!) and is working on all his other doggy manners.  He is house and crate trained, but has had a couple accidents. He is not yet given free roam during the day and happily sleeps in his kennel at night. If this handsome bachelor sounds like your kinds guy, fill out an application to schedule a meet and greet.
