Story
Kip is around 5 years old as of March, 2020 and what a nice, sweet boy. We have found we can do anything in the world to him with no nippy issues. He loves attention and a good cuddle. He gets along with other dogs and especially the smaller ones. The little dogs can act aggressive and he just backs right down. He currently runs the yard with 8 other dogs big and small.  He is crate trained and waits to go outside to do his business here. He also walks on a leash and knows how to sit on command. He is a large, active boy that will need an active family with room for him to run as he loves his outside time. Kip is heartworm negative and will be current on all medical (neuter, shots, deworm, microchip, heartworm and flea prevention). If you are interested in visiting or adopting, please submit an application at RichardsonRescue.org. All visits require an approved application and are by APPOINTMENT ONLY.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
NEW BEGINNINGS SHEPHERD RESCUE Locations in Holly Hill and Pelzer, SCKoda is a precious, sweet, loving, super intelligent dog.  He is a 3 years old Dutch Shepherd. He has a black, short haired, coat with gorgeous brindle strips and whiskey colored eyes. He weighs 88lbs. He knows basic commands and is very food-driven but not a resource guarder. He loves attention and will be in your bed or lap if allowed.  He gets along well with kids, strangers, and dogs. Our next door neighbor got Koda as a puppy.  Koda was kept outside on a shock collar 24/7 and lived in a roughly 10’ x 20’ space.  We took him in as a “foster”, in our minds, to improve his immediate day to day life. Over the past 6 months he has been upgraded to a house dog – his decision – he has run of the house and a 50’ x 40’ fenced yard. The fence is 4’ and he has never tried to jump it.  He has access to outdoors anytime when we are home. He stays in our laundry room while we are at work and sleeps by our bed at night. We see that we don’t have the resources to provide what he needs to make him a happy dog.  We take him hiking but this exercise is not enough for him.  He is frustrated by inactivity and this results in excessive barking and high anxiety. He is a bit skittish and doesn’t have the best control with his big body. He doesn’t realize how big he is and he can unintentionally injure more frail people or small animals.  He is skittish and anxious which results to quick, uncoordinated movements.  He tries to play with our small dogs but his play is too rough for them.   Ideally, if we were retired and live on a 20-acre farm he would be in hog-heaven.  He needs a family/owner who is very physically active or dedicated to Koda’s physical activity and knowledgeable of the breed. With much thought, consideration and broken hearts we have decided Koda deserves more than we can provide him. If the next owner is interested, we have oodles of pictures/videos and a few baby pics too that we could forward via the rescue If you are interested in opening your heart and home to one of these amazing dogs please fill out our adoption application at https://www.newbeginningsrescue.com/adoption-application and we will get back in touch after we get it processed. Story
I got a bath today. The nice lady at the kennel rubbed my dusty coat until it was shiny and clean. It felt so good to be touched. I don't get much of that you know. I wonder if it means I'm leaving. I've seen all the others get a bath and leave. Maybe today's my day!!! But no, I'm going right back to my cage. It's so lonely in there. I don't know why nobody wants me. Maybe it's because I can't see so well out of my right eye. An angry man hit me and after that things went dark there but it doesn't stop me from doing anything. Especially loving. And I'm a lot of fun to be around. I know special tricks too, like how to make my tail go all the way around in a big circle! it makes the little boy who comes to play with me laugh so hard and I do it over and over for him. Now that I'm all clean and looking my best maybe somebody will notice me. Just maybe somebody will take me home too'|. Scotty and a friend he was traveling with were picked up by animal control as strays. His friend was reclaimed but he was left behind. Scotty is estimated to be 2 to 3 years old and is a shepherd/hound mix. This sensitive boy is loving and super sweet. He thrives on human attention! His tail thumps so fast and furious that some times it really does go in complete circles! He loves to please, is a quick learner and knows some commands. Scotty gets along with other dogs and likes to be around kids. He is just waiting for someone to take him home.

Story
Hi, my name is Moe. I have a high-energy level and I love to play! I play well with other high energy dogs. I enjoy car rides, playing fetch and anything water related! I'm also a marathon chewer with toys so I'd prefer hard, tough chew toys. And who needs a fluffy bed? Not me! My kinda perfect would be sleeping on the ground, being one with the floor. Do you have a cozy floor calling my name? Are you looking for a hiking and swimming partner? You've found the perfect man! I would do best in a home without children. My adoption fee of $200.00 includes neuter surgery, deworming, microchip, and up-to-date vaccinations. I've even started monthly flea and heartworm preventatives - what more could you ask for? If you'd like to meet me, please fill out an online application, call an advocate at (803) 465-9170, or email adopt@pawmettolifeline.org.
