Our sweet Cosette is still looking for her forever family and her foster mom can’t figure out why! Cosette is a 12 pound, six-year old, spayed female Chihuahua who came into the shelter as a very scared little girl. Now in a foster home, she gives great kisses and will snuggle under the covers if you let her. She is good with cats, dogs, even pigs and chickens, she loves kids, she rides wonderfully in the car, she is crate trained and potty trained! Cosette is a sassy little girl that will roll on the ground to scratch her back any chance she gets! She walks like a show pony and loves snuggling in your lap to watch a movie. She is perfect. She deserves the perfect family, could that be you? She will bring so much love and loyalty into the life of whoever adopts her. NOTE: This is a courtesy posting for another rescuer. Please do not contact ARRF, as we do not know this pet personally. To meet Mai Lin, see contact information below. Mai Lin is 14 1/2 years old. We rescued her and her two sisters from the shelter when nobody else would take them. Mai Lin's two sisters have since passed away. She was treated for severe dental disease and Mai-Lin had several large benign tumors removed. She has arthritis and cannot climb stairs. She receives medication for this condition and otherwise is happy and healthy in her foster home. If you are interested in Mai Lin, contact FCIAadoptions@aol.com

Story
Alex and Riley are Chihuahua/Boston Terrier mixes. Their coloring is orange and white. Alex, a spayed female, is two years old. Riley, a neutered male, is five years old. They are very bonded and must be adopted together. Tiny but mighty at a whopping six pounds, Alex’s spicy yet sweet disposition is sure to win you over in a heartbeat! On the shy side, Alex relies on her companion Riley for confidence in new situations & meeting new people. Alex will quickly steal your heart and make you laugh with her antics. Riley helps Alex navigate the world, but he will also be by your side whether that’s out on a hike or cuddling on the couch. He loves to cuddle and always seems to know what kind of day you’ve had. They are both excellent with other dogs with proper introduction, good with dog-savvy cats, dog-savvy older kids, and even dog-savvy companion birds (their foster mom has a macaw). They both enjoy moderate exercise and currently go for 3 – 4 walks per day. Fiesta Island Dog Park is a favorite, too. They both know the commands sit, wait, here, leave it, get dressed (Riley wears male wraps, and Alex wears potty pants). Even though Alex is tiny, she pulls on the leash when she is on walks, so her foster mom is currently working to correct that.
