She is 5 years and she weighs 14.5 pounds. Avery is spayed and vaccinated including rabies. She tested heartworm negative and is receiving monthly heartworm prevention. She is ready for adoption. Avery made her way to rescue because her owner passed away and the family took her to the Ouachita Parish Animal Shelter in NE Louisiana. Avery was very reserved at first in her foster home, but now lets her personality shine through. She was used to being an only dog and would likely do well in that setting unlike some dogs who need a friend. But Avery has been fine with other dogs...in fact once she warmed up a little she has turned out to be quite the playmate with some of the younger pups. Avery knows her name and usually comes when called. She is very well potty and leash trained, and she has learned the crate. Avery would likely adapt to most any home setting. She is a smart and lovable gal. Adoption fee is $250. All adoption fees are nonrefundable. Her coloring is non-traditional black, white and chocolate rather than tan. She is about 4 years old and she weighs 12.5 pounds. Pearl is spayed and vaccinated including rabies. She tested heartworm negative and is receiving monthly heartworm prevention. She is ready for adoption. Pearl came to us from Caddo Parish Animal Services where she and her 3 puppies were owner surrendered. Pearl was scared, protecting her pups and nipped an employee, but they could tell she was really a good little girl, so they made sure she was welcome in rescue along with her pups. Pearl has been a sweetheart in her foster home. Her foster mom was very gentle around Pearl and did not touch her until Pearl came to her, which took less than 24 hours. Pearl does get overwhelmed with new things and should not be approached suddenly by strangers. But Pearl loves to be held and loved on, snuggle in the recliner, and will grab your hand by hooking her paw around it when she wants you to pet her. Pearl is great with other dogs and is extremely smart. She is crate, potty and basic leash trained. Pearl will warm up in any home that’s not too chaotic.  Adoption fee is $200. He is 15+ years old and he weighs 10.5 pounds. Baby came to rescue an unhappy camper with a dental infection. Baby had a recent dental and lost several teeth but feels so much better. His skin is recovering from the dental infection and flea infestation but is looking better every day. Baby was also neutered at the time of his dental, and is vaccinated including rabies. He tested heartworm negative and is receiving monthly heartworm prevention. Baby is ready for adoption. Baby’s human was taken to the nursing home so he needed help. He was mad about it and in pain from teeth and skin having been neglected as his owner became unable to properly care for him. As his health has been taken care of, Baby has become a playful, affectionate boy. Baby likes toys. He loves to sit on the back of the sofa. He is crate and mostly potty trained. Baby likes to go out on the leash to walk and explore. Older, respectful children are ok. Adoption fee is $150. All adoption fees are nonrefundable.
