Story
Pollyanna is a very special girl who will capture you her heart before you can even blink. She may bark for half a second, but then will immediately jump into your arms, wanting nothing more than to shower you with affection. She certainly hopes you will do the same. The best way to make her love you more than anyone in the world, simply scratch her back and rub her belly. She will be yours forever after that. She loves most to sleep with you and just be around you. Whether you are chilling on the sofa or in bed ready to drift off, she will delight you with pure companionship. She does not mind cats, but gets a bit nervous around other dogs. A house where she can remain star of the show as your best canine love would be best for her. She has a protective streak and will bark at people she does not know, but quickly calms down when shown they are no threat. She is very good at letting you know when she wants to go outside, but is also well trained with puppy pads. She has a big investigative streak when she first arrives at a new place. She will need a fenced yard with room to explore. This little angel has so much love to give and is ready for her forever family to receive all that she has to offer.  Please email us at ccrtennessee@gmail.com PLEASE NOTE:  Our dogs are transported from Tennessee to meeting places in the states where we have posted.  Further information about us is given on our Adopt-A-Pet site.  The adoption fees vary and will be provided as well as noted on the application you receive.  Contact us at 615-661-5333 or ccrnewengland@gmail.com

Story
Sputnik is the Russian word for satellite and the perfect name for this little guy.  You will be the center of his universe and he will totally revolve around you.  Sputnik is 10 years old and he weighs about 15 lbs.  He is a super sweet boy who is just looking for a loving family for the rest of his life.  He loves to cuddle up with in a blanket as he borrows underneath the covers to get comfy.  That is his favorite place.  When not snoozing under the covers, Sputnik is following you wherever you go.  Do not top too quickly as he will run into you.  He is great with children and would be a wonderful family pet.  Sputnik loves other dogs but would also be great as an only dog.  He is super sweet and very friendly.  It would be ideal for him to have a fenced in area outside where he can 'smell the roses'.  His little nose just loves to go.  Sputnik walks OK on a leash and he rides well in the car.  He will be a loyal companion and keep you smiling.  Sputnik is current on all his shots, neutered and microchipped.  He is ready for his forever home and we hope that it will be with you.  To be considered for Sputnik's forever family please contact Vivienne at viviennejames@comcast.net or 615-943-7311.  APPROVED APPLICATION AND ADOPTION FEE REQUIRED.  (Sputnik is in Tennessee and can be transported to the northeast upon adoption.  Due to state regulations we are unable to adopt to residents of MA and RI.)

Story
ROSIE FEMALE BREED FEIST MIX AGE 8 MONTHS WEIGHT 30 POUNDS MATURE 40 COLORS BROWN TAN COAT SHORT SPAYED CHIPPED Rosie is an 8 month old Feist mix also known as a Mountain Feist mix.  If you research a Feist, you’ll find that they have short coats and can be any combination of colors.  Rosie is brown and tan.  Feists are playful and loving and they need to be exercised for at least 30 minutes each day.  Rosie loves toys and playing.  She gets along well with other dogs, and people.  She does need a wee bit of time to get to know you, and then she’s all yours!!!  She’s a great girl!!!  (posted 3/13/20, ME) **It is rare that we know with certainty the ages or mixes that make up our dogs, but we do our best to be as accurate as possible based upon our experience. ** Adoption: $325 which covers quarantine, shots, worming, food, medical records, spaying/neutering,microchip and an Alabama State Health Certificate. Transport, if needed : $140.00 We consider the transport to be of great importance and, as such, take particular care of the dogs during the trip from Alabama. We make every effort to arrive with healthy and minimally stressed dogs.

Your new pet will require a refresher in house-training. K-9 Lifesavers strongly recommends all new adopters enroll their new pet into obedience training. This provides for an easier transition into a new home, ensures the dog remains well socialized, and helps form a bond between the dog and the new family.            Adoption fees cover basic vetting, spay/neuter surgery (for dogs over 6 months old), rabies, distemper/parvo vaccinations, treatment for worms, heartworm testing, monthly heartworm prevention and monthly flea/tick prevention (while the animal is in our care), and transport costs from high-kill shelter. Please note that on average, K-9 Lifesavers spend significantly more on each dog than their adoption fee. Adoption fee for HW positive dog also covers heartworm treatment at our partner vets.  Foster Program:    Foster homes provide for the temporary care of a rescue until the dog is placed into a loving, forever home.  For more information on becoming a foster parent, and our Foster Program, visit http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/foster/ or email our Foster Coordinator at foster@k-9lifesavers.org Sponsor Me!    Make a tax-deductible donation today by visiting us at http://www.k-9lifesavers.org/donate/ .
