I am 49 lbs., 2 years old and seeking my forever home! Adoption Donation: $350 All dogs are microchipped, neutered/spayed, current on all vaccines, heartworm tested and started on Tri Heart Plus & Vectra 3D. Please visit our website and fill out an online application and we will call you as soon as we review it.  The 'How to Adopt' page on our website has our directions, hours and adoption policies. https://www.animalhouseshelter.com Our website (www.animalhouseshelter.com) is kept 100% up-to-date with who is currently available. New animals (40/week) are added to the site 2 weeks before their availability date to give you time to fill out your adoption application and get the family ready to come out to the shelter that day. Knox is a 7 year old well loved family dog. He is extremely loving, loyal, and fun! He loves to go for walks, runs, play catch. His all time favorite activity is to play frisbee. He is healthy, up to date on vaccinations, micro chipped, potty trained, crate trained and walks great on a leash. Unfortunately, he has begun to be aggressive with our 13 year old dog and 5 year old child. We think he would do best in a home with no other dogs and no small children. He is great with adults and our 8 and 11 year old. He would be happiest in an active family that will exercise him daily. He knows how to sit on command, will reluctantly lay down if you tell him, will go to his crate when told, and will get down from a couch or bed when asked. He loves to cuddle. He is extremely intelligent and can be goofy at times. We hope he will find a family who can love and treasure him as much as we have the past 7 years. We hope to keep in touch with the family and make sure Knox has the best life!

Charlie is being adopted from a foster home. If you are interested in meeting him please email availablepets@gmail.com as the clinics will have no information. Charlie is a 5 ½ year Retriever mix who was found as a stray in Texas. He came all the way to Illinois to find his forever home. Charlie suffers from separation anxiety and will need an experienced owner. A very stylish crate has been donated and will come with Charlie to his future home. Also, dog training sessions will be paid for, to help Charlie and his new family learn to handle his separation anxiety. If there are other dogs in the household, they should meet Charlie to make sure that they will get along. Charlie has spent time in a foster home, where he did very well. Charlie even went on a shopping trip to a pet store! Charlie loves to play and go for walks!
