Story
We adopted Stella from a shelter in Southern Illinois. She was found in the national forest where hounds are "dropped" as puppies and left when they fear gunshots. She survived there for a year and was brought to the shelter by a hiker. We adopted her shortly after. She had separation anxiety due to her history, but was so sweet and loving with us. A trainer recommended we get a 2nd dog to help Stella learn typical dog behaviors and feel more comfortable at home. We adopted Holly through that trainer. Holly was a service dog who was retired due to being abused by the family she was placed with. Holly is a cuddle bug and always wants to be with her humans or Stella, who she bonded with very quickly. 3 years ago, Stella was bitten by another dog while walking. Since then, Holly has been highly protective of her and sometimes doesn't play well with other dogs because of this. Stella loves all dogs. Holly and Stella are the most loving dogs but still struggle with some separation anxiety.

Story
We adopted Holly through a service dog trainer to help with our first dog, Stella's, anxiety. Holly is an incredibly loving dog and just wants to be with her humans. She struggles with some separation anxiety and has a hard time being left alone. When she is with people, she is happy, playful, and sweet.

Story
At MAMCO we understand that in order to continue rescuing moms and babies, we must stretch our finances as far as we are able. For this reason we use variable adoption pricing. By assigning higher adoption fees to high demand moms and puppies, we are able to rescue more families in need. The money raised through these adoptions acts as a benefactor to moms and puppies in our care who require expensive veterinary treatments, have behavioral issues, or need more time to find a home. We often reduce the adoption fees on these harder-to-place moms and puppies to help them find forever families. Adoption fees vary, but all include spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccinations and deworming, rabies vaccine at the time of spay or neuter, and 30 days of pet insurance. We also cover hernia repair and cherry eye repair at the time of spay or neuter. Applications can be filled out at mamcorescue.org. ##556641##
