Story
Update March 27, 2020 Foster - Brady is now in Foster - more updates to comeHandsome Brady was picked up running as a stray by our local animal control. We recently transferred him in from our local animal control. Brady needs some work on leash manners but overall seems to be a respectful dog and does know some commands. We don't have any background on him but we do know that he needs to put on weight.

These pups are in Normal, Illinois too!

Story
Hi my name is Bandy ! I am a Basset/Doberman mix who got the short end of the stick per say. I take after the Basset side, so I am a low rider, where my brother looked more Doberman. I am a lean 50#s, black and tan in color.  I am very loving, playful and active but then again I am only a little over a year old so I am still a puppy. Don't let my size fool you, I can keep up with the best of them (3 foster sisters 2 Labs 1 Pocket Pittie) I actually wear them out so they take shifts sometimes to entertain me. But when it is bedtime or nap time I am right there with them.  I really want a home with at least 1 sister if not 2. Don't get me wrong I liked my previous foster brother but there was a foster sister there there also. I just like the ladies LOL    I need to be kept busy, I don't like sitting around, I wanna play!! Toys are great but a warning- I can get a squeaker out within minutes, without hardly tearing up the toy. Once out, the toy is fair game. I like to chew so the Nylabone Power Chews are best at withstanding my toughness.   I have a soft side too. I love to curl up next to you or my siblings and sleep and I sleep hard and even snore a little bit. I love to look out the window at the world going by and I will tell you when someone is coming. And I will give kisses when asked. I know the basic commands and working on some others.   I am house and crate trained but I do not like being put in the crate and left alone. Trust me !   I have free run of the house but the basement, I got a taste of it the other day and now I wanna go back. I sit and whine to go again and I see the kitties (2) go down, so their must be something good I am missing. Oh yeah I get along with kitties, sometimes they do need to remember I am here so I make my presence known and a way they go downstairs.  I don't hurt them, I just wanna play.   I hope I have answered some of your questions here. Please if you have any more ASK !! I just wanna find my furever home so if interested please do the survey and come meet me. I only ask you make a donation to Pet Central Helps! when adopting me. They have done so much for me and everyone else they have saved. Hope to see you soonBandy Boy  All Pet Central animals are up to date on age-appropriate vaccinations, spayed/neutered, microchipped (registration included), and current on parasite prevention. Dogs over seven months of age are heart-worm tested. When adopting, we will ensure that you receive copies of veterinary and microchip records.Due to the construction of our state of the art facility, none of our pets are on site, they are all located in foster homes at this time.If you would like to meet this pet, please fill out the brief Adopter Survey (This is your adoption application) : https://petcentralhelps.org/dog-puppy-applicationAfter we review your completed survey we will contact you by phone or email within 72 hours or less (We're primarily a volunteer organization, so we appreciate your patience.
