Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  This here is Wicket. Wicket is an older girl that hunted most of her life and is ready for a retirement home and family. She is reserved and quiet, and very loveable. We think she will appreciate a fluffy dog bed to take long naps in.  She gets along well with other dogs, cats, and children. Wicket spent most of her life in a kennel, so she will need some guidance on potty training. She is low energy and we don’t expect her to be a chewer or runner, but she will need some help learning the ins and outs of living inside a house. She is up to date on all vaccines, heartworm preventative, and flea/tick preventative. She is not spayed because we are concerned it may not be in her best interest at her age, but we encourage her adopter to seek out the advice of their trusted veterinarian to consult on the matter. Her adoption fee is only $80, which simply covers her vaccination expenses. THIS IS A COURTESY POST.  PLEASE CONTACT accubera@gmail.com for more information.  All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter!
