Story
Rocky is a 1 year old Husky/Shepherd mix l(just turned a year)  ooking for his family.  He is neutered, micro chipped, and his shots are current. Adoption fee $250.  If interested, please fill out the adoption application on our website www.patriotsforpets.com. We were informed Rocky is an escape artist so his adopter will have to be cautious with that.  He really does need another dog in the house so he has a playmate.  He loves the company and someone to run around with.  He doesn't try to escape if he has a friend. He is good with kids.  No information on him around cats.  Is not a huge barker.   ##612483##

Story
Graham, born February, 2017, is looking for an adults-only home where he can love his people!  There should be no children and no other pets in his new home.   The best home for Graham will have a big fenced yard where he can play fetch and have fun in the sprinkler.  He loves water!  This beautiful dog has long legs and a tall stature so he is admired when out for long walks; however, he tends to be somewhat reactive toward other dogs when on a leash so caution is needed.  Graham has allergies and east special dog food. The suggested adoption donation for Graham is $350, which is TAXDEDUCTIBLE, and goes toward providing supportive services to animals inthe home, as well as the high cost of vetting our dogs in rescue. If you wouldlike to welcome Graham into your home, please begin by submitting our AdoptionApplication. The adoptions for all of our dogs will take place in the Omaha,NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not shipor deliver the dogs. Story
Maui is a sweet and gentle German Shepherd mix, born April 2010.  She's the perfect medium size with a super soft coat and a darling personality. Maui is very friendly with people and loves to go outside on walks. She is a dream indoors and has not had a single accident in her foster home. She does not like to be put in her crate, but she has not chewed or gotten into anything she shouldn't be so far. Maui occasionally plays with toys but her favorite thing to do is to go outside and sniff around. Maui is good on the leash, but she does pull at times when there's somewhere she wants to go. She does bark and get excited when she sees other dogs, and she has a prey drive that makes her pull when she sees a squirrel. At this time, it is unclear how she behaves with other dogs but it has previously been recommended she be the only pet in the home.  Because of her age, she does have a little trouble going up and down stairs, as well as jumping onto couches or beds, so a perfect home for her would be one where she doesn't have many steps and has a yard to explore. She is not a dog that is constantly asking for pets and cuddles, but she is very gentle and welcomes belly rubs and fur brushing. Maui has been shuffled around a lot from home to home, so it takes her a few days at least to adjust to her new surroundings, but with proper patience, time, and love, she'll learn to trust and adore her new forever family Since Maui is a senior dog, her owner will quality for a senior discount if owner is at least age 65. The suggested adoption donation for Maui is $200.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE.  Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process:  All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION.  Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match.  If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet.  The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note:  We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter.  We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs.  If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.
