Story
Roy is a sweet GSP boy!Meet Roy!  This poor guy has had a string of bad luck.  Roy was hit by a car at the end of December, then ended up at the shelter where it was determined that he has a broken hip.  After being rescued 3 weeks later, he was taken to the vet and tested positive for Ehrlichia, in addition to having kennel cough, so he will be on antibiotics for at least a month.  Once he’s cleared for surgery, he will have the necessary surgery to repair his hip.  Despite all he’s been through Roy is all smiles and his foster mom says that he’s too good to be true.  Stay tuned for more on this sweet boy. Status: Medical hold Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA Adoption $:$360.00 with a $50.00 refund upon completion of a positive-reinforcement training class from a trainer on our training list, or approved by us in advance. Flaco is a handsome GSP gentleman!Meet Flaco! This handsome 8 year-old fella is the perfect age for a GSP – still plenty of energy, but past the crazy stage. He’s described by his foster home as sweet, calm and easygoing. His ideal home will still get him plenty of exercise and also plenty of cuddle time! Due to resource guarding with other dogs, Flaco needs to be the only dog in his home. He can also resort to trying to escape if not properly exercised and left alone. A home that can be home with him a lot is preferred.  A training session with a positive reinforcement trainer will be a required condition of adoption for Flaco. Senior boy Sauer is sweet as can be!Welcome Sauer! This sweet senior shorthair is the perfect mix. He’s 8 years old, so all that crazy GSP energy has subsided (well, some of it!), but he’s still a loving, happy boy who would love to spend his days hanging out with a family of his very own. His foster home has described him as a “he’s a sweet, high energy guy who needs a lot of love.” If you have love to give, Sauer is ready to be the recipient!  Status: Available Location: San Francisco Bay Area, CA Adoption $: 155 OR if you’re a prior adopter, bring Sauer home for free! Story
Roscoe is sweet, loving, and very smart, and knows lots of commands. He loves walks, hikes, running/jogging, and swimming. He's also great alone in the house. He is very food motivated, which is good and bad, as he has been known to steal food off of the counter if we forget to put everything away. He is great on a leash, loves the car, and is crate-trained, but fine left out as well. His biggest issue is children. He shows signs of fear, and growls around all kids, including our own son. He bit our nephew (didn't injure him or draw blood, but bit him in the arm). We muzzle-trained him to keep our son safe, and he is completely fine wearing the muzzle. With the stress at home, Roscoe has become less friendly around other dogs. He is fine with passive dogs, but has issues with aggressive dogs. We're hoping that this new behavior is a result of the stress he shows around our son, and hopefully will fade in a new home without children.Roscoe is just a joy and a love-bug in so many ways.

Shelly is an affectionate and sweet girl who is learning how to navigate this newly "rescued life". She would love an easy going person or couple who can offer patience and plenty of love (and treats) and a slow and steady acclimation to an active lifestyle and increased socialization. She is great with other dogs, seeks affection in a non pushy way, and is accepting and willing to please. A volunteer favorite, this girl wants to sniff everything on walks and just enjoys going at her own pace on hikes. A lovely companion.
