Story
This is a courtesy post. This dog is not currently in our program and GPPR makes no representations or guarantees of this dog’s behaviors, health, or overall condition. The current owner has requested an adoption form be completed with GPPR for consideration. Ms. Sugar is looking for a very special home. She is a happy girl, however, enjoys the company of older adults. She will need to be the queen of her castle and with no sign of kitty friends. Sugar has hunted in the past. She craves a yard to run and romp in. She does show some symptoms of allergies, but is trying a special diet at this time. She is taking some allergy medications to help. She is great with adults and would be sure to keep any pesky squirrels out of the yard.  If you would like to learn more about giving her a home, please complete an adoption application If there are questions, emails can be sent to greatplains@cox.net. She is located in Custer SD.   Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Lexi is one of those dogs who we wish could talk.  She does have a strong fear of men. While she is timid, she will also need a strong human leader. It will need to be the right mix of understanding and training. She is smart, and somewhere down the road she had a few wrong turns. Time and patience will benefit her. She can do fine with certain male dogs, she does NOT do well with female dogs and is very prey driven. Exercise with her human will benefit her a lot. She has the potential, needs the right people to help her come back into a good life.   Lexi is being fostered in Iowa.   Complete the adoption form here : ADOPT ME   *Please be sure to read the adoption info/FAQ tab on our main website before applying for a dog. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.

Story
Berit is an approximately 4 year old Shorthair who was found as a stray.  We are still learning about him but his foster mom says that he is a very sweet boy who lives to cuddle and be near his people.  Berit would do best in a home where someone is home a great deal of the time as he does not do well being created for more than an hour or two at a time.  He has a very high prey drive so no cats, small dogs or chickens.  Berit is being fostered in Iowa.   Complete the adoption form here : ADOPT ME   *Please be sure to read the adoption info/FAQ tab on our main website before applying for a dog.     Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
