Introducing Waylon, a 5 ½ year old lovable retriever mix in search of his forever home - he's been waiting at the shelter for 1,116 days. Though initially cautious around new faces, Waylon thrives in a stable environment with regular exercise. With guidance, he's able to build trust and would be the ultimate companion. He enjoys leisurely walks, splashing in kiddie pools, and soaking up the sun. He's adept in basic commands, house-trained, and relishes car rides. While he prefers older children and a dog-savvy household, he's not fond of cats. Waylon may be selective with canine friends but is known to be friendly with proper introductions. Neutered, vaccinated, and in good health, he only requires a supplement for slight joint stiffness. As required by Wisconsin Act 90, all dogs will have received a veterinarian exam (CVI) within the past 30 days.Our adoption process requires the submission of an application. Applications and Adoption Rules can be found on our website, on the "HOW TO ADOPT" tab at JRsPupsNStuff.org. Upon receipt of the completed application, we will process the application including: contact with your veterinarian and completion of a home visit. Please be sure to include the contact information for your vet as we will call. If your vet requires an information release, please be sure to contact them as soon as you submit your application.
