Story
Meet Aquarius AC Trick or Treat. How about both? And I am not talking 'bout Howloweenie. Me and my Mommy and all my siblings were living at a gas station. I didn't know it at the time, but 'upposedly, living at a gas station is very sad. Some sneaky, but well meaning, ladies set up a cage and put treats in there. My Mommy was trapped first, then they had to collect all of us babies. My Mommy is a fluffy red dog with super puffy cheeks named Nutmeg, she weighs 35 pounds a Sharpei/Chow mix. My Father might have been a yellow Labrador because that is what I most favor. I am shaping up to likely be bigger than my Mommy, maybe 40 pounds. I am a boy doggie and a strawberry muffin with my berry pretty strawberry blonde coat. The volunteer says I am a real hunk muffin. I don't know about all that *blushes a little*. At my Foster House I hang out with 3 older big dogs, a 30 pound dog and my sister Libra. I am submissive and playful with them. Sometimes I bark at other dogs, it just depends on how they look at me and the vibe I feel, but most of the time, I like them. I like to be one of the dogs and do activities with dogs. I always follow the lead of my pack mates. I like pack walks and runs on a leash, a tight leash! Due to my scared feelings, I would do best with older kids, not small kids that might scare me back into my shell. I love being in my crate, I feel safe in there. I am pretty much potty trained. I might do a scared tinkle on occasion, but not too often. I am making HUGE strides with my scared feelings and learning to be more outgoing and comfortable every day. You can't really be scared of humans because they know where the food is. And I like food. I even hang out by my Foster Mom's feets sometimes and get excited when she has a toy. I like toys. I like my Foster Mom better than my Foster Dad. I am making faster progress coming out of my shell because I am food muttivated. I am not afraid to beg! I will even take food from complete strangers. When Foster Mom is cooking, I will stand up on my hind legs and do a really cute face. Heck, I might be shy, but I am not stupid, I know this cute face will get me a yummy nibble. I love human food sooooo much, sometimes I try to steal it right off Foster Mom's fork. Ha ha, she says that isn't nice, but lets me get away with it, for progress sake. All in the name of progress. Food isn't the only thing I chew on. I love to chew on toys or other items. If anything is near my crate, I will chew it. Sometimes my Foster Mom catches my sister red handed or red pawed as she grabs an item for us to nibble on. I do join in on nibbling stuff with my sister, cuz I am a team player and a good brother, not a bad boy. If Foster Mom says "stop chewing I usually stop. Usually. I like outdoor time. I run the fence to chase and bork at squirrellssssss. Sometimes I run the fence to bork at the neighbor's dog, it is a no no no. But it feels fun fun fun. I am looking for a home with lots of patience, pepperonis and perhaps another dog that can help me continue my work on my confidence level. Do you want to be that person with the pepperonis? Story
Meet Libra AC My name is Libra and I am one of a litter that belongs to a fluffy Sharpei/Chow mix named Nutmeg. Her name is Nutmeg, but I call her Mommy. You can't call her Mommy, you didn't come out of her wahoo. My Mommy weighs 35 pounds and I will probably be her size or smaller. I only weigh 25 pounds now and don't seem to be growing much more. I will pupeptually look like a baby puppy. I am smooth, not a fluffy butt like Mommy. That's okay, I didn't want to look full-on squirrell anyway. No offense Mommy. I like the other dogs at my Foster House, they are 3 great big German Shepherds, plus my blood bro, plus a 30 pound mutt. I am submissive to the big doggies, cuz I didn't fall off a turnip truck, I am no dumbie. I sometimes boss around smaller dogs, because I can. I like patient, friendly and playful fellow dog buds. I like to hang out and chew on antlers and toys. Just chew though, don't expect fetch. Fetch will not happen. I really need a home with confident dogs, because that makes me confident, I know if I copy them I am doing the right thing. When I have to do things by myself or alone, I get scared and sometimes growl and try to run away. My fear comes from being born in the wild streets of San Antonio. Ooooooh, wild. We were tricked and trapped and started off very shy. I am making progress. Until some thing comes along and startles me. So I don't want a home with kids that would startle me, just nice quiet children. And I have to admit, sometimes when I get startled, I do a tinkle. I have also sometimes let out more than pee if you catch my drift. The leash especially scares me, so you are gonna have to put in some work in that department or just not take me on walks too often. I really prefer playtime in the backyard for exercise. I am crate trained. I actually really like the safety of my crate for a little me-time. I like to hang out with humans if the other dogs are hanging out with humans. What can I say, I am a copy cat or copy dog in my case. Me and my dogs like to hang out in the kitchen in the hopes of a nibble thrown our way. I usually get my nibble quick, but sometimes my foster brother swipes it! Brothers! I am making progress but not in the fast lane, so you would need to understand that. When I first got to my Foster Mom's house, I hid behind the sofa. She is too smart, Foster Mom barricaded all my hiding spots, except my crate! Now I will jump up on the couch or bed like a regular dog. If your house has good hiding spots, I might use them when I first get there. I would like to move to a house with a confident resident dog that can teach me the ropes of being a good girl. Sometimes Foster Mom gives me anxiety oil, you could too? I wanna be happy and social, but sometimes the shy feelings still hit me. Do you want to adopt me and be responsible for my blossoming? Local adoption fee $250.00 (within Texas) Out of State adoption fee $500.00 (with transport out of Texas)

Story
Okay, okay, so I gotta talk to people *deep breath* Okay, so I am imagining all of you naked but it isn't helping my fear of this speech. Put some clothes on for heaven sakes. Okay, y'all are dressed now. They call me Nutmeg and tell me that I am absolutely adorable and very much the type of dog humans would want to cuddle up on the couch with. No thanks, I am busy, I am washing my hair *or insert some other blow off line*. I was living fine and dandy as a stray and ended up pregnant. I was taking the best care of my babies. But it was not a good life for any of us. So they tricked me. The lady put some tempting food in a cagey thing. It was a test of wits versus hungry and hungry won. I was trying to make milk for my litter so my tummy told me to go on in the trappy thing to get the food. Bam. Trapped. WTF??? What the Fooood! The people at Rescue Camp have spent months building a relationship with me. I am still timid and not quick on making people friends, but I do try. You have to understand, when I was living on my own, people were mean and shoo shooed me away. The only thing I have to admit that I like very much about being a kept woman, is THE FOOD. When the volunteer calls me for dinner, I come running. Having 3 squares a day, even in a round bowl, is the BEST. I follow the Rescue Lady around. Don't tell her, but I am actually following the smell of hot dog weenies, not her, but she doesn't need to know that. But seriously, what's with all this walking on a leash nonsense??? I would much rather be carried from Point A to Point B or rather choose C, which means don't move at all! How 'bout that? Even though I am shy with people friends and not into leashes, I do MUCH ENJOY spending time with other dogs and playing with them. I am about a year old and only around 35 lbs. These cute cheeks indicate Sharpei mix and my red fluff says Golden Retriever?? I am still skittish, but I can be handled by the volunteers that I trust. I am not a straight outta the box doggie, you will need to add batteries and by batteries, I means time, patience and lots of meats, pork products work well, bar b que, fried chickens, you know the good stuff. If you are willing to continue on my training and social skills, then apply for me. Otherwise, the God's Dogs Rescue volunteers don't mind keeping me here a bit longer, I am after all, very soft and fun to rub. Local adoption fee $200.00 (within Texas)

Story
Meet Ghost, the adorable 4-year-old Retriever Mix! Don't be fooled by my name, I'm not here to haunt your house; I'm here to fill it with love and laughter. Right now, I have grander dreams - ones that involve playing fetch, running zoomies, and enjoying a good belly rub on the couch. SAPA! employees can't stop gushing about how much they adore me, and I think it's high time I enjoy a little rest and time to decompress in a cozy home. You see, life in a kennel is just not my jam. I'd prefer a soft bed, a sunny spot to nap, and someone to cuddle with. I'm super smart and I learn new tricks and commands very fast. Check out the videos on my profile! If you think I sound like your kind of pup please visit me at the Petco Love Adoption Center.
