Story
I adopted Athena down in Denver about 2 years ago. She was a rescue from a hoarder in Texas and she came into my care at about 8 weeks old. Since Denver has a breed ban on pit bulls, they advertised her has a lab/hound mix (but you can very clearly see the pit in her head). as she got older her vet determined that she was pit bull and Great Dane mixed together. She’s an absolute sweetheart who loves to cuddle. Besides food, she has no greater joy than getting to cuddle up with her person any chance she gets. She plays so well with other dogs once she gets to know them, we have a Mini Aussie and two chihuahuas and they all adore Athena, and Athena adores them! She is very gentle with the chihuahuas (minus occasionally stepping on them). The issue we have with her is how she is with little kids. She’s been around my daughter (who was three and is now 5) since we adopted her, but in the last year she’s not been doing so well with being gentle and careful.

Story
Well how can we start, it’s been a beautiful journey adopting jaedyn when she was just 5 weeks old. We initially thought she was a pitty mix but as she got older and her personality sprouted out as did her incredibly long legs as well! Boy were we in for a rude awakening. We initially lived in an home for the first month or two we had her. Shortly after that the home we were renting flooded and we moved into a smaller dwelling. This is when the party started. Over the next several months as we downsized in living space, Jaedyn doubled in length and size. Lending her some unruly moments of being a puppy in a small place with no backyard. She has proven to be farm/ranch dog countless times and reminds us on a daily of how much room she needs. Whether she’s galloping full speed through the house or perching her head on the window seal to whine for some freedom. Without a doubt she was born to run and be free on the range! She would make an excellent herding dog or hunting dog.

Good with kids, Good with dogs, Good with cats, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Millie came into the rescue when she was on the euthanasia list at a shelter in Wichita. She is the only mix we have, assuming she's a Great Dane/Labrador Retriever. She's black with two white spots on her chets. She is crate trained, but prefers free roam. She'd rather be around other dogs or people all day, than left alone. Millie doesn't meet a stranger. On walks she's curious of other dogs and people, so she pulls a little and will need some leash training. She can be a little rough when playing, so a home with older children is best. If you giver peanut butter, she'll be your best friend. She doesn't have aggression towards food or toys. She's most happy next to her human. Car rides are one of her favorite activities, and she doesn't like to be left behind. She's a young adult and will do well with an acitve individual or family.
