Story
I acquired Maverick in Georgia from a family that rescues mistreated dogs. He was either chained outside or put in a chain link kennel as a pup. We have lived in Florida, Texas, Kansas and currently Lincoln, NE where I am from. When I first got him (around 6-8 months old) he was scared of anything that moved and was not potty trained or house broken. We went to several trainers to help with his many issues. Being 6 1/2 yeas old now, he is potty trained, house broken (I can leave him out thee entire day and he does not mess with anything) and just loves to lounge. New home? Someone that will be able to love him as we do. Someone that will be able to improve his behavioral skills. He is aggressive towards men and unsure around strangers. He is very protective around those he loves and that will never go away. He is not good with any other animal as he will want dominance and if not shown he will attack. My fiancé has a dog and he doesn't get along and it makes it very difficult.
