Located near Annapolis, Maryland- Our sweet Eros is looking for his forever home. We pulled Eros from a shelter after he was surrendered because his owner fell ill. He absolutely loves people and loves to be around humans. In fact, he really just wants to sit on your lap and walk close to you (in typical Dane fashion). This handsome boy is super strong and does pull on leash. While it’s a work in progress, his foster parents are working on addressing it. Like so many other Danes, he doesn’t realize his size, so we are requiring a home with giant breed experience, as well as a home with no children under 15 years old. Eros does well with other Giant and large breeds after VERY SLOW introductions (no small/medium sized dogs due to his size). He has done well with his foster’s cat. He chased the cat once, was corrected and now has no issues! He has been through a lot and really just wants a home where he can be the apple of his owner’s eye. We don’t think that’s too much to ask right? I mean look at that face!! Eros is 6 years old, UTD on shots, neutered and had his stomach tacked. He is house trained, crate trained and knows basic commands. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kevin is as goofy as they come, partly due to his size. He is very skittish at first but quickly becomes your best friend, within a few hours. Kevin loves for his head to he held and a comfy chair to chill in with his stuffed animals. He would do well in a family that is home a lot because he needs training due to the first year of his life being spent outside. Kevin is pretty much house trained but is kept on a schedule and let out regularly so he has not had an accident in the house. Kevin currently is using a martingale collar to learn not to pull, although he only pulls when he gets scared or gets excited when he sees that we are almost home or an animal/person he wants to meet. Kevin’s needs: · Great Dane (XXL dimensions 54"L x 35"W x 45"H) size crate or his own room, he loves his crate and should not be left alone to run the house or he will get into things he shouldn’t. · To be an only dog, unless tested with a companion animal · Kevin is terrified of cats. · Someone willing to work with him on training, he is very intelligent and easy to train. · Kevin will only go to adopters with previous Great Dane experience. He is playful like a puppy, very loving, and gets along with kids, other dogs, and cats. He is trainable if you have the time to train him. I already have 2 boxers which he gets along with very well, but i work long hours and cant pay enough attention to him and the boxers. i took him in after my sister couldnt keep him due to military move. excellent dog who needs a loving family with a yard!

GA area - After doing wonderfully in his foster home for the last month, Charles is ready for adoption! He has seriously been a dream foster and will make someone extremely happy. He’s around 4 years old, neutered and UTD on vaccines. Charles has never lived with young children, so we will not consider homes with children under 15 years old just to be safe. He has had issues in the past with other male Danes. While he has excelled in daycare with all sizes and genders, we are looking for a home with female dogs only. Again, just to be safe. His foster mama had this to say about him- “Charles is truly a sweet dog with a mellow temperament. I have had him for about a month now and he has bonded well with my Great Dane, Katie. They both love to run around together in the backyard and bark at the people who pass by the house (they believe they are protecting me and the house). He is potty trained. While I have a crate for him, I have not been using it as he and Katie are allowed to roam the house (minus the bedrooms) anytime that I am gone. He loves to go for walks and rides in the car. He gets so excited when I pick up his harness, very ready to get it on. One little quirk about him is that he doesn't like to poop on walks; prefers to do that in the privacy of his own backyard. He walks well with both me and Katie. He loves sniffing all the sniffs out there. I do not have young children so I am not sure how he would interact with them. He is good with strangers as long as his human is with him. He is a cuddler and will hook his front paw around your leg if he wants more attention. We have been working on the sit command and he is getting it. He will come when called unless of course there is a smell that has his attention. I have boarded him and taken him to doggy daycare with my dog Katie. The people there love him and say he is a big goofball with the other dogs he socializes with. I would love for Charles to find his forever home with someone who can give him the love and attention that he deserves. Greenville, SC area - Lillian is ready for her forever home! This pretty princess is around two years old and has loved adjusting to a home environment. She is full of energy and enjoys being around people, but is most comfortable with a combination of people and dogs. Lillian would NOT be a good solo dog! We’d prefer she have a larger fur sibling to play with, but if you have smaller dogs in the home, they need to be playful and confident. She is comfortable around small children with a trusted handler helping with guidance, but would NOT do well with loud and rowdy children. She enjoys car rides, floppy toys, and playing with larger and smaller dog friends. She is athletic, LOVES hiking, is excitable and loves jumping. She can be ‘handsy’ with her paws, so we are working on basic obedience. She **can scale tall fences**, so it is best to supervise her even in an area with a 6ft fence until she adjusts to her new home. Sometimes she just likes to hop over fences to say hi to the neighbor’s dog. At least a six foot fence is required, no exceptions. She is improving walking on a lead but sometimes flops to the ground when being lead in a direction she doesn't want to go. I'm sure we can all relate to that! She loves to cuddle and give kisses. She has been around cats in pet stores and did not react, but she has never lived with cats to our knowledge. She is doing well with potty training and crate training, is up to date on shots and spayed.
