Story
Hi, my name is Scooby Dooby Doo. What's yours? Anyway, nice to meet ya! Hey! Before you get attached to me, read all the way to the bottom. You will see that I am still in Houston, TX but I want to get OUT of Houston and OUT of Texas so I can have a really good life. I want to see Texas in my rear view mirror. A nice person came along and took me in and, now, I am ready to hit the road to your house! Uh, make that “our” house, OK? As soon as you adopt me, I’ll be on my way to you! I am very excited to find my forever home. I'm a good boy. You'll see! I am a mixed breed boy. I am 6 years old and I weigh approximately 70 pounds. I am house-trained. I am crate-trained. I have had all of my shots and have been spayed and I'm ready to go to my new home with YOU! Those funny-looking 2-legged creatures also say that I am microchipped – whatever THAT is. Wanna hear more good stuff about me? OK, here goes. I am a friendly boy. I love all people and would make a TERRIBLE guard dog as I'm a cuddler not a fighter lol. And, I love to play. I mean, who doesn't? I am a very cuddly boy and I don't know my size. Any lap I see was made for me! So get ready to cuddle with me. OK? What do ya' say? Huh? I LOVE my peeps!. I am very gentle and laid back. However I can run and play too. I love being the center of attention. I am very sweet and loving and would love to find my forever home! I was picked up off the street starved, full of fleas, heart worm positive and nearly hairless from mange. My foster mom thinks I was used as a bait or fight dog as I get nervous when dogs bark around me and would do best as an only dog. I coexist with my foster sibling ok but they really make me nervous and am happiest around them when I can get away to my kennel. My foster mom loves me SO much that she only wants me to fly to my new home even if a pet transport truck was available. See my adoption information below. If you would like to take me home (and you know you do), please email westhoustonanimalrescue@yahoo.com and she can get me on my way to a new and loving home! My adoption fee is $450 USD and includes my vetting, spaying, microchip, health certificate, travel crate AND transportation on United Airlines from Houston, TX to areas in the Northeast U. S., North Central U. S., Northwest U. S., and Canada and will be arranged by the rescue group. (This is a courtesy posting.)

Story
Fiona – AKC registered Fawn female great dane.  Must be an only dog in the family. Fiona is the sweetest 2 year old, female AKC registered Fawn Great Dane, however, she needs to be the only dog in the household.  She gets along fine with adult kids and adults.  When she earns your trust, she is the best dog in the entire world.   She has a high prey drive, and will react towards any other animal that shows aggression.   She must have a strong leader.  Fiona does not eat a lot and free feeds, and weighs about 85 pounds. Requires Great Dane experience. Fiona knows the rules and is very smart and obedient.  She is absolutely beautiful, and need room to run.  Her favorite past time is running around the yard, doing zoomies.  She loves being tucked in at night, and is very affectionate.  She is up to date on all her vaccinations, spayed, tummy tacked, heartworm negative, and micro-chipped.   All adopted pups and dogs are transported to WA/OR families when fully vetted, spayed/neutered and microchipped. For information on how to adopt me, please contact my foster parents at info@dogdiggityrescue.com. L&S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Story
Welcome Lazarus. He is a 2-year-old Great Dane/Shepherd. He is a big boy at about 80 pounds. He loves his foster dad and would make a great companion for a family. He would be best with an active family and could be with kids over 7 due to his size. He would be best in a fenced yard so he could be off leash for some of his play time. He is good on a leash, potty trained, good with other dogs and ready for his forever home. He is athletic and healthy and would love to be with an outdoorsy family. He is up on his shots, neutered and looking for love. He is in Texas in a foster home. He lives with teenagers, other dogs that are big and small. He is crated in the evening and does fine in a crate. He can be adopted locally in Texas or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to deliver him to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the East Coast. His adoption fee is 200 and transport is 185. Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to maudreyh@aol.com for an application. See his cute video!!

Elian is such a sweetheart!!! He is very active, playful and wonderful companion. He loves to run and play on the beach, with his doggie friends and humans. Elian's fosters have been training him and he has great recall off leash, is friendly with all dogs and is a very happy pup despite his tough beginning of life on the streets in which he has some battle wounds to show for. If you are looking for an active, happy-go-lucky dog, Elian is for you!!! NOTE: In many cases, these dogs are located in La Paz, BCS, Mexico in foster homes. We transport them to their adopted homes via air transport with a volunteer.

Story
Sam has been with me for nearly 4 years. He was adopted in as an emotional support animal. He is sensitive to noises, doggy ptsd of sorts. Prefers sleeping with you or other dogs. He grew up with his brother and doesn’t do well by himself for long periods of time. His previous owners would hit him so when he senses your angry he will resorts to submission. Very loving and precious. He is large and with the inner Dane he believes himself to be a lapdog. This natural part of him puts some kids at risk of getting hurt because of his size. He doesany bite. He only barks when he believes there is danger. He loves hugs, kisses, cuddles, and when you talk with him. He is adventurous and loves to explore. He gallops like a horse and hops like a bunny. He is my best friend and I’m saddened to have to rehome. Between college and work and the size of my living space I’m just unable to give him the life he needs and deserves.
