We do not have a shelter. We focus on local adoptions in DC and the metro area of Maryland and Virginia. CDR&CK has a thorough adoption process in order to find the best possible fit for each of our dogs and cats (we do not operate under a first-come, first served model). Upon accepting a new cat or dog into the organization, we provide a basic vet visit that includes necessary vaccinations, disease screenings, deworming, microchips, and spay/neuter (unless specified). We do not provide a comprehensive medical exam prior to adoption. As a result, sickness, injury, and disability may exist unbeknownst to CDR&CK. City Dogs Rescue & City Kitties is not responsible for payment of any vet care, including known and unknown medical conditions once a cat or dog is adopted from us. Dog specific: Rabies, DHPP, Bordatella vaccines. They are tested for HW, Lyme, Ehrlichia, Anaplasmosis. Most cats and dogs will have a house training accident in the initial days in their new home and we cannot guarantee any pet is housebroken or crate trained. We also update our Facebook page daily with new cats and dogs. ##599639##

Story
My name is Conner. I am the last pup left in my litter. I am around 5 months old. I'm close to lbs. My mom looks like a Whippet/Lab mix, and they aren't too sure who my dad is. I am in a home with other dogs and am often around children, I do great with everyone. I am looking for an active family that will keep me busy and exercised. I would also love to just lay around and snuggle. I am working on potty training, but my adopters will have to help me learn completely. Right now, this pup being fostered in Tennessee. The rescue lists in areas where transport is available. They use safe USDA licensed dog transports that will bring the pup to their new family, once they am adopted! Once you send an application, the rescue will contact you for an interview and be able to send more photos and even videos! He is neutered and UTD on all required vaccinations. He is microchipped and on flea preventative. Please, you MUST click the following link BEFORE emailing for further information.
