Story
To be considered for adopting a dog from Canine Lifeline, you must have an approved application must be on file. Please visit http://www.caninelifeline.org/adoption-process/ for more information about our adoption process and to submit an online application.   Big dog lovers, meet Niblet! This silly, fun-loving 1 year-old girl is one BIG puppy and just about as friendly as they come. Niblet looks like a Boxer/Great Pyrenees mix with her soft coat, short nubby tail, and double dewclaws on both back paws. She’s really a one-of-a-kind dog! Since she came into an overcrowded county dog shelter as a stray, we can’t be sure what her breed mix is. We also have no history on her early puppyhood or how she ended up homeless. From the shelter, Niblet made the trip to Canine Lifeline so she could have fun playing in a foster home while searching for her permanent new home. This girl LOVES toys of all kinds, especially those that squeak, and is able to keep herself entertained by tossing them up in the air. She has been fine sharing her toys with people but does not like to share her toys with other dogs. She can be very protective of her things to the point that she may start a fight with another dog. For that reason, she will need to be the only dog in the home.  Niblet has done well in her crate and will need to continue crate-training in her new home. With some patient and consistent direction on the part of her new family, she should be able to pick up the house rules quickly in her new home. This girl is going to need a lot of exercise so needs an active family who’ll make sure she’ll get plenty of playtime and walks every day. Niblet weighs about 65 pounds currently and we expect she'll be about 70-80 pounds once she's at her ideal weight. Her adoption fee is $250. She’s spayed, heartworm negative and on monthly preventative, up to date on vaccinations including bivalent canine influenza, wormed, on flea and tick preventative, and microchipped. All Canine Lifeline adoptions come with a two-week adjustment period to make sure it’s a great match before the adoption is finalized. Please email info@caninelifeline.org if you’re interested in Niblet. An approved application is required before we schedule meets with any of our dogs. Please note that we don’t place our dogs in homes with children less than 7 years of age. We correspond via email so please check your junkmail or spam folder to make sure our reply hasn’t landed in there. Please visit our website at www.caninelifeline.org to see more photos of Niblet and to submit an online application.
