Story
Basha Vigilance is energetic, loving, devoted yet an independent-thinker, smart, and reactive. 68 lbs. Turns 2 in April. She vigilantly watches outdoors, guards, is great at skijoring (pulling person on skis) and running with a mountain bike. She is being fostered. She's learned manners and lots of tricks: sit, down, stand, watch me, come, wait, stay, let go, leave it, spin, go around, paw (shake), paw (put your paw on something), hug, back up, out, get it, look, kennel, off, up, ouch, gentle, quiet, shhh, let's go. She goes where I point. She's fun, lovable and wonderful indoors. She's fine off leash on trails. She has been reactive to runners, bicycles, etc., including in cars. She's reactive on leash with dogs, unless she can greet the dog. She's good at daycare and dog parks. She chases small animals. She needs daily exercise, 5+ miles/day helps.

Story
Animal Profile: Ginger is an 2-year-old, 90 lb female large breed originally rescued from Texas; DNA test shows 1/4 Great Pyrenees, 1/8 each Anatolian Shepherd, Australian Shepherd, Australian Cattle Dog, Rottweiler, and 1/4 unknown. Ginger is a gorgeous dog and she will be an excellent companion in the right home. She has lived peacefully with another dog and cat, and is currently in foster care with other dogs as well. Due to her breed mix., Ginger will likely always be wary of strangers. She would do best in a home with a fellow canine companion as she looks to the dogs in her pack for guidance and reassurance in new situations. She is crate trained and house trained, and does well on leash. Seattle Foster Update: Ginger is very playful with young dogs and I think she will do well in a home with an energetic canine companion. She doesn't yet play with humans and she's not a big snuggler, but she will lie down near me so that her back touches my leg. She does not show any signs of food aggression and will even give up her food if another dog shows interest! She enjoys walks when it is really quiet out, but is nervous around strangers, especially outside the house. (She still wants to bolt when a person approaches her, but will now sit and just let the person pass.) She's also doing better when a stranger comes over to the house; she'll lie in place rather than running and cowering. She will need a patient owner who will let her crate be a safe place and will help her build her trust and confidence as she adjusts to a new environment. Adoption Info: Ginger's adoption fee is $400 which includes her spay, vaccinations, microchip, and current health check from a veterinarian. The adoption fee may be tax deductible as Dog Gone Seattle is a 501c3 organization. Animal History: Ginger was lovingly raised from a puppy with another puppy, Max, but unfortunately they both developed litter mate syndrome, including fear and reactivity, despite training. DGS agreed to help with the training and rehoming of these deserving dogs, and both made excellent progress in foster care. Max has been adopted, but Ginger is still searching for the perfect home!

Story
Meet Daisy who is a beautiful (approx 5 years old) Great Pyrenees, Maremma mix livestock guardian female dog. She has been with her family for 3 years. Because her owners job transferred them away from the country, Daisy needs a new home in the country where she has room to run and a job. She has so much love to give and bonds closely with her family. She loves playing ball, tug of war, belly rubs, as well as playing with their other two little dogs. Great Pyrenees needs:❤️ Daisy, needs a 6’ fully fenced area and be on leash when outside of fenced space, as well as fed separately from other animals. With her being an alpha guardian breed, she needs to be in a home with children 12 years and older and be the only alpha dog. We strongly urge you to know the breed and their guarding tendencies for the best fit for you and her ♥️

Story
Bonded pair of Great Pyrenees and Great Pyr mix for adoption. Very loving pair of young pups (2 year old and 1 year old). Very large dogs (over 100lbs each) yet gentle giants: Love all people and animals, including cats! These sweet dogs LOVE to do their intended job of guarding livestock and our home doesn't provide that. We are active however they want to roam free and although they will tolerate a leash, they don't prefer it as it's not the exercise they crave; it is livestock companions and a job! They always come home to give love and affection to our kids but are taking off to nearby farms to guard their livestock and although always friendly, not everyone wants puppy visitors. We care deeply for these dogs and will only rehome them as a pair and after we have been able to visit their potential new home and family. At least a five foot secure fence is needed and livestock to "manage". They are neutered and chipped. Serious inquiries with the above setup only please and thank you!

Story
Daisy is an approximately 4year old female Great Pyrenees. She enjoys going on walks, and napping in the sun. As a Great Pyrenees, she is prone to resource guarding (particularly food and the property). She will reflexively bite in warning if she is startled out of sleep, if you touch her when she's trying to rest or nap, you appear to be stealing her food (if you take away an unfinished bowl), or if you get in the way of her protecting the property.Daisy has been to doggie daycare, she did very well playing with the other dogs there. She loves belly rubs and attention and genuinely loves her owners. Daisy will require owners who have breed experience. She has been raised as an indoor dog but she loves running the yard during the day. She’s dog door trained and crate trained. Daisy much prefers women over men so this is something to be mindful of. We do not recommend homes with children under age 12. No small dogs, cats or other small animals. Like all Mikey's Chance dogs, this dog will come to you from a foster home that has provided loving one-on-one attention, socialization and some basic training, as well as quality food and exercise. Applications can found at our website mikeyschance.com. Please note that adopters are not chosen on a first come, first served basis, but full consideration is given to the best fit for the dog AND the adopter. Applications can 2-4 weeks to process, application submission does not guarantee approval for adoption.
