Story
6-month-old Baker will win you over with his impish toothy smile and wagging tail. He’s playful, goofy, and loves to snuggle when he’s tired. This is an energetic and smart puppy; he figures out rules and then finds loopholes (he can open doors and whine like an airplane takeoff). He politely sits and waits for an “OK” to eat meals. He loves clicker training, long hikes, running with dog buddies of any size, playing fetch, and beaches (all water, really—he’s a 3-year-old in rain boots after a storm). Baker can be a bit shy at first, especially with men, but he warms up quickly. He needs a forever home with a dog buddy or owners who are mostly home.

Story
Johnny is a really big, really strong, and a really happy, 2 yr old black greyhound. He was rescued from a race track on 22 Jan 2020. He and his littermate, Slade, had no recorded races. Wanted to be just lovable pets! Both are in superb condition and are playmates. Because both are young and very strong, it is suggested they go to a home where they will get plenty of exercise and gentle training. He is cat compatible, but caution should be used for introduction to a cat. Johnny is scheduled for neuter, dental cleaning, micro-chipping, and rabies inoculation prior to going to his forever home.

Story
Brook is a tad uncertain with his new life and only wanting kindness. He is a healthy, young 1 1/2 yr old brindle greyhound. He was rescued from a race track on 22 Jan 2020. Brook had no recorded races and we suspect he was traumatized by the whole experience. He is a good candidate for a tranquil home which may have another greyhound for him mentor. Brook is cat compatible, but caution should be used for introduction to a cat. He is scheduled for neuter, dental cleaning, micro-chipping, and rabies inoculation prior to going to his forever home.

Story
Rex aka Zeus is a 7 yr old, happy, friendly, black greyhound. He was returned from a home through no fault of his own. He is now at a foster home with two other male greyhounds and an 8 pound Maltese. He’s in great condition for veteran with 228 recorded races and still has plenty of energy for his age. He will follow from room to room so as to miss nothing. Zeus is good on a leash, likes long walks, and is not spooked by cars, loud motorcycles, or even fireworks. Rex is neutered, had dental cleaning, micro-chipping, and rabies inoculation. He is totally ready for his new forever home!

Story
Say hi to the sweetest girl! Hi people! My name is Ricki Lake, and like my namesake, I believe in being memorable rather than winning. I try and be the sweetest one to make everyone love me! I am about 1 year old, a female Greyhound and Shepherd/Terrier mix with the most beautiful brindle markings. I am on the lighter side, at 17 lbs. I am from the Ensenada shelter and I was brought over by TAP volunteers to find the best home for me. My foster mama is doing a wonderful job training me and she takes me out for bathroom on schedule. She is helping me walk nicely on the leash too and corrects me with positive words, whenever I tug. I have been spayed already and I am getting ready for my forever home! I am just wrapping up with some medicines for some ear infection, patchy hair and some wounds, all remnants of shelter days. I will be all hale and hearty in no time! I am just overall a big love bug in a small body! I love to get pets and cuddles and I will climb up on chairs, couches, standing people to try and cuddle! My strategy is to jump up and stare with puppy eyes till I start getting pets. Works like a charm! sometimes, I like to watch TV too. Netflix and chill?  I am just starting to learn about toys and they definitely are more fun than people's hands. ;) I just need a bunch of positive reinforcement and treats to help me break the puppy naughtiness and turn into a totally good girl. I do love meal times and I get sooooo excited! But now I am learning patience when my foster mama makes me 'sit' before getting food. I love going on walks, sniffing around and saying hi to everyone! I love to play with other dogs and hang out with kids. I havent met kitties yet, but would love to! I am a lover of attention and would love to be in a family with kiddos and people who are around me most of the time. I just wanna love and be loved! Another doggie buddy will be good for me, but I can be the only pet too. My adoption fee is $350 and that includes spaying/neutering, shots, and microchip. If you want to take me home, please fill out the form on the website here: https://theanimalpad.org/adopt-today ##592205##
