***** AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION ***** Meet Truvy Havanese Female Age: 5 years Adoption Donation: 400 Location: Springfield, MO Weight: about 10 lbs. I am a retired puppy maker – a breeder surrender who is not as traumatized as many of my fellow survivors. I like to pretend to be skittish, but I’m really playing hard to get, just for fun. Once you pick me up, I will give you all the kisses and snuggles you can handle! I love playing with other dogs if you have them, but would be fine to be your one and only as long as I got to be with you a whole lot. I lived in a kennel for the first five years of my life, so I really don’t want to be in another one. You can trust me not to tear things up in the house. I am getting pretty good at pottying outside and use a doggy door. If you don’t have one, take me out every few hours and I will get the hang of it quickly. I also know how to use a potty pad if I can’t get outside. My foster mom thinks I may be allergic to chicken. I would get an upset stomach when she fed it to me. She now gives me a salmon based kibble that I like a lot. I am just beginning to learn what a leash is, but I like to go places and enjoy a car ride. I also like to talk sometimes and will let you know whenever someone is at the door, so you don’t even need a doorbell! Would you like me to be your furever friend?

My foster mom calls me Mon Ami (French for My Friend) since we are becoming good friends, but I am looking for my best FOREVER friend. I have been so afraid of humans for so long, that I am still learning to trust, but just say, “Pick up Mona” and I will stop and let you get me. I will stay in the corner all the time and just come out to eat and use the potty pad, if you let me, so I either need another small dog who will draw me out to play or for you to bring me out to snuggle. I don’t need a lot of exercise and just freeze when a leash is on me, so I would be fine in an apartment and being an inside dog only. On the other hand, I also go in and out of a dog door on my own and will play outside if I have the chance. I love to surprise my foster family with wiggle butts and Mona dances, especially in the mornings. I am full of good surprises, and I can be trusted at home by myself. I lived in a crate for so long, I don’t want to be in one again. I like to sleep in a pet bed in a corner, but close to you. If you want to be Mon Ami forever, please comment below.

*****AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION**** Name: Eenie Breed: Havanese Age: 4 years Location: Ava, MO Adoption Donation: $400 Hi there, HavaHeroes! My name is Eenie and im a ray of sunshine! I’m so happy to be loved and excited when you come home. What can I say? I just love to be loved on and sit with you. I even do this silly ‘high five’ thing when I want to be loved on. I do like to sleep in bed with you but I won’t raise a fuss if that’s against the rules. Im also SUCH a good girl with kids and other dogs. I do charge at my foster mama’s cat, but I don’t wanna hurt it. My foster mama thinks I do it just want to see how fast it can run! We are working on potty training still, but I’m gonna have it down in NO TIME, as long as my new family continues to work with me. There are still some things I need to work on along with potty training. I do not like to go out in cold weather, and am still working on leash training. I do a really good job for a while, but then I’m over it and may need to be carried 😉 . My foster family says that over all, I’m the friendliest foster they have ever had!
