Story
Greetings, hoomans of the internet, I'm Pancho! I'm a bundle of energy and affection and I would love more than anything to have a forever home to call my very own. Please read my whole bio as I am looking for an experienced dog owner. I am picky about other dogs, but great with cats. And I need some time to warm up to new men. My foster human says that I am an amazing, one-of-a-kind, super-duper special dog, and when the right person takes a chance on me, they are going to fall in love and never let me go! I really am destined to be someone's heart dog. I've got skills! Potty trained? Check. Sit, Stay, Down, Shake, Roll-over? Double check. I'm also crate-trained, but I'm such a good boy that I free roam when the humans are away and I never get into any trouble. I can go 8-10 hours by myself without a problem. I'm still learning not to pull on the leash, but I've made great progress and with a patient hand, I'll be a pro in no time. But let's talk about what really makes me tick...snuggles and walks! I might be built like an athlete, but deep down I'm convinced I'm a lap dog and I'll curl up, sprawl out, and make myself right at home in your lap. And when I'm not cuddling up to you I love to be outside exploring. If you're an active individual who loves a good workout, we're a match made in heaven. Hikes, jogs, walks, - I'm up for it all. I love splashing around in the water and going for car rides which makes me the perfect adventure dog. I also came from a home with lots of cats and I would be happy to have some feline friends to keep me company in my furever home. There are a few things I'm not a big fan of. Men I don't know make me uneasy - especially when they approach my people. But as long as I have some time to get to know them and learn they're not a threat, I warm right up. My foster grampaw is one of my most favoritest humans ever! It took me a little time to figure out he was a cool dude, but now I love him so much and get the zoomies every time he visits. I also need a home without kids. I am picky about other dogs, and need a family who understands and respects my boundaries, and doesn't put me in unsafe situations. With a slow introduction I do well with submissive dogs, and I really, really love young puppies. I'm an amazing big brother to the foster puppies in the house - so patient and gentle, even when they're treating me like their own personal jungle gym. Being a loyal protector is in my DNA. My humans are my top priority, and when we're out, I'm like their personal bodyguard. Safety first! This means I would make a wonderful companion for someone who wants to go adventuring by themselves and feel safe while doing so. I'm looking for a human who knows the ropes - someone who is experienced with dogs and can take me on lots of wonderful adventures. If you're up for snuggles, walks, and a loving, goofy, and loyal companion who's always ready for action, I'm your pup! Experienced dog owner required. Story
Meet Harper, a one-year-old bundle of joy who is looking for her forever home! Harper is the sweetest girl who loves to give kisses to anyone who will let her, dogs and humans alike. She is super excited when you get home and will greet you with a wagging tail and a happy smile. Harper is a smart and playful girl who is learning basic commands and manners with the help of her foster sister. She is working on not stealing treats or food from other dogs, but she is very friendly and gets along well with other pups. She is also good with kids and enjoys cuddling on the couch with them. Harper is an active and adventurous girl who likes to run and jump like a deer. She loves car rides and knows how to use a doggy door. She is always curious and wants to be everywhere her person is. She is not friendly with cats, though, so she needs a home without any feline friends. Adoption fee is $300 plus tax Apply to adopt at www.campcompanion.org

Story
Colette originally came to us in Aug., 2018, when she was around 2 years old. We think she's a husky mix of some kind. She can definitely be a handful and is a highly active, energetic gal. She is friendly and loves all people. However, she is a runner so she needs a very secure environment. A secure fenced yard would be ideal. She needs someone who is ready, willing, and able to exercise her -- A LOT. Boredom is her arch nemesis. Colette has been fully vetted and her fee is $125.  Colette is a happy clown of a dog but her propensity to run has caused her to be adopted and returned twice now. She would do best as the only dog in the home. No cats for her! She would be a great running or hiking companion and a nice all around family dog. We are open on Saturdays from 10-11:30, Sundays from 2-4, and Tuesdays from 4:30-6. We are located at 101 22nd St. SE in Austin, right next to the airport, behind Spectrum. It's exit 180B off of I-90, right off of 218 South. We do require that potential adopters be at least 21 years old and that any resident dogs be up to date on vaccinations, heartworm testing/preventative, and spayed or neutered.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.
