Snapshot of Blizzy! Size?  Expected full size to be 35-50 lbs! Age?  Puppy Activity Level?  Lots of energy! Looking for a running or hiking buddy :) Noise Level?  I bark when I play! Good with Dogs?  I would love a medium or large sized playmate! Good with Cats?  I like cats more than they like me! (Dog-savvy cats may be okay). Good with Kids?  Older kids, please!  Good with Strangers?  I love everyone! Potty Trained?     I'm a puppy, so I'm still learning Crate Trained?  I bark some, but quiet down quickly. Interested? Learn more about Blizzy below! About Blizzy:  Hi, my name is Blizzy and I am a young husky/cattle dog mix puppy! I was born in Arkansas and then got a ride all the way up to Minnesota. I'm really happy with my move because it brought me closer to snow, which is on my list of top ten favorite things. I love to run in it, roll in it, sit in it, and eat it!  Moving up to Minnesota also brought me to my foster family. I currently live with 3 other dogs (2 medium sized and 1 small), 2 cats, 3 adults, and 2 babies. Its a crazy house but I love everyone! Having other dogs to play with is great! It really helps me get my energy out. I love to wrestle and chase after the two bigger dogs. I try to wrestle with the smaller dog but she doesn't really appreciate it. My foster mom says that I should leave her alone, which I do sometimes. But other times its so hard! Now, on to the cats. These creatures are very strange and have sharp claws. I know this because sometimes I play a little rough and they need to tell me to calm down. I listen to them very well because like I said, they have sharp claws and I do NOT want to feel them. Lastly, the babies I live with are small and very cute. I try to leave them alone like my foster mom says but they have very tasty hands so sometimes I sneak in a lick or two. They have a lot of fun toys that I try to play with but apparently thats "not okay". I dont really get it, but I'm learning! I would probably do best in a home without young kids while I'm still a baby myself.  I'm a very smart girl and I'm learning new things every day! I can sit and lay down whenever there are treats involved. I'm also working on roll over (this one if very hard) and "wait". I dont like to wait. Why wait when I can have the treat now? Either way, my foster mom says I need to learn it so I comply. Since I'm a puppy, I like to chew everything I can find. If I find somethings thats now "dog friendly" I can be easily directed to a squeaky dog toy. Potty training and kennel training are going great! I know that outside is the bathroom but if you dont bring me out regularly I can't always hold it. I do great in my kennel though and will not use that as a bathroom. I'm usually very quiet and respectful in my kennel but I've been known to bark here and there, especially when my bladder is full or I've got too much energy!  To recap and help you decide if I'm the right dog for you, I've made a handy checklist of things I would really like in my forever family: -Other dogs similar in size or bigger to play with and/or people that are very active -Dog savvy cats or no cats -Older kids that I can't knock down -Lots of love and treats and a strong desire to pet me (I'm very soft) Does that sound like you? Apply to meet me today!  Adoption Fee: $500 Training Requirement:  Obedience 1 MEET ME/ADOPT ME:  If you’d like to arrange a meeting or begin the adoption process, please fill out an adoption application by visiting  www.twincitiespetrescue.org/adopt/adopt-a-dog/ . Name: Fender Sex: Male Color: Black, White & Grey Eye Color: Bi-Eyed Birthday: Approximate Weight: 45lbs Good With Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: No Crate Trained: Yes Housebroken: Yes Energy Level: Medium Good With Kids: Yes Training: Basic commands. Comments: Although Fender was hit by a car and is on restrictions he is your typical husky. He loves to play and rough house (as much as he is able) with his foster siblings. He is able to recognize signs and warnings that are given by other dogs when it gets to be too much. Fender can be shy, which makes sense, I would be too if I was hit by a car. Fender is crate trained although gets anxious if by himself, however this is getting better with some training. He knows some commands like sit and kennel. Fender will require a home with patience, and would do best with another dog, as he likes to be the follower.

Sex: Male Color: Black and White Eye Color: Brown eyes Birthday: 11/1/2019 (estimated) Approximate Weight: 32 lbs Good With Dogs: Yes Good With Cats: Yes Crate Trained: working on it Housebroken: Working on it- I'm a puppy! Energy Level: medium -high Good With Kids: Has not been exposed to children within the foster home, however is very gentle. Training: Working on the puppy basics. Comments: Hi my name is Sterling and I am looking for love this Valentine's day. I am a little shy at first but once I love you I am the most loyal boy you will ever meet. I am originally from Oklahoma which makes me a southern boy but I already love Minnesota and the snow. I am the runt of my litter and love to give tiny puppy kisses and follow you wherever you roam. My mom was a German Shepherd and my dad was part husky and I got all their best genes which makes me a super mutt. I am very smart and already potty trained on a schedule. I have mastered "sit" and "kennel up". I am very food motivated and love learning new tricks. I am very gentle and will be good with any age of two-legged or four-legged family members. I have been cat tested and did bark at them a little but lost interest quickly, I would easily adjust to having a kitty friend. My ears haven't decide if they are going to stand up or not yet but I am a very good listener either way. Since we don't know what exactly I am it just means I am full of surprises. I am a little noisy in my crate until I settle down but pretty quiet the rest of the time. I like walks and sniffing around the yard or going for a run. When I'm inside I love to chew on bones or curl up on the couch and watch TV. My life motto is: Leave no treat behind! I hope we can meet up soon to see if we are a match so you can be mine and I can be yours fur-ever! Love and puppy breath kisses, Sterling xoxo Adoption Fee: $400 All our fosters are: Spayed or neutered before adoption. Evaluated for temperament and trainability. Up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella, Heart-worm tested and on preventative year round. Microchipped.

Story
Name: Mimi Sex: Female Color: White Eye Color: Brown Birthday: 05/22/2018 Approximate Weight: 44 lbs Good With Dogs: Yes, but can be dominant. She would be fine as an only dog or a male that doesn't mind letting her wear the pants. She has shown some resource guarding with toys with her four legged foster brother so they are kept up. Mimi plays well with other dogs when toys and treats aren't around. Continued training is a must for Miss Mimi! Good With Cats: No, Mimi cannot live in a home with cats. Crate Trained: She does well in a crate if other dogs are nearby or she has music/tv. She needs a wire crate so she can see around her. Housebroken: Yes Energy Level: High Good With Kids: Great! Training: Mimi is potty trained and is very comfortable in her crate. Mimi would excel at obedience school, as she is very smart and is ready to learn, especially if there is food involved. She is also great walking on leash. She does not pull much - for a husky. And she takes direction well on leash. Mimi is great when it comes to being brushed too! Comments: Howdy! My name is Mimi. I am still recovering from surgery after a car accident, but I starting to look for my own forever family. I am learning how to play nicely with my foster siblings. I was alpha at my previous home, but they made a selfless decision to surrender me to rescue when they realized they could not provide the medical aftercare and financial needs I had. I am so smart, but stubborn, so it took a bit of time and some understanding to learn how to work as a team. I have always been snuggly with my humans. I love to lay near them, give kisses and get pets. I also love toys and carry my favorites around the house. I have been known to eat things I shouldn't, my list of offenses include socks, gloves, and hand towels. So I hope to find a family who will make sure things are kept out of my reach to keep me safe. I had to have surgery last year to remove that darn hand towel from my intestines and I'm really hoping to have noooo more surgeries any time soon! I have a lot of energy and I would love to have a family as an only pup - so I can get all the attention and snuggles, or as an addition to an alpha dog or human that can help lead me and teach me. Taking me to a training class is a must to help me bond with you and learn the rules. I really would love to spend all day with you, or another friend to keep ourselves busy playing together. If you are interested in a snuggle-buddy and an exercise buddy, then please apply to adopt me! Adoption Fee: $350 All our fosters are: Spayed or neutered before adoption. Evaluated for temperament and trainability. Up to date on rabies, distemper and bordetella, Heart-worm tested and on preventative year round. She came to us when her owner unexpectedly passed away. She has lived outside so she is learning how to be an inside dog. She is learning she can not chew on TV remotes, her foster mom's slippers, or pillows off the couch. She loves being tucked close to her toys, blankets and has recently found the couch is her new favorite comfy spot. She is very timid, skittish and always on alert. Her foster parents are working with her daily to show her humans can be good (we don't believe she was ever socialized). Rosie will need lots of time to adjust to change. It has taken her about 2 months or so to just start to be comfortable with her foster parents and surroundings. With lots of love, training and patience we are sure she will be an amazing dog. Rosie is going to strive best in a home with another dog to help show her the ropes of dog life and a fenced in yard to keep her safe as she is a flight risk. Both are requirements for Rosie. Adoption Fee: $250 All our fosters are: Spayed or neutered before adoption. Evaluated for temperament and trainability. She would be fine as an only dog or a male that doesn't mind letting her wear the pants. She has shown some resource guarding with toys with her four legged foster brother so they are kept up. Good With Cats: No Crate Trained: Working on it, she has broken out of a crate and can be noisy Housebroken: Yes Energy Level: Medium Good With Kids: Because Lexi is still learning her manners and has had a history of resource guarding, she must go to a home with children 16 or above only. Training: Has learned sit so far Comments: Lexi was surrendered by a family that was not willing to provide her with the care she needed. They had been reported to the police several times because she was left outside tide up without shelter, water etc. Poor Lexi was never given the opportunity to be a house dog. She is soaking up all the love and attention in her foster home. With her background she is struggling with crate training and house training, but we are making some good progress. She hasn't had any number 2 accidents and we just ordered her some cute hot pink dogie undies (: She is getting a little better in the crate and hasn't broke out again but would not recommend apartment/town home living because of her lovely singing.. Lexi will continue learning how to "dog and will need a owner with patience to guide her. She really is a sweet and beautiful girl!
