At 2.5 yrs old, he was rescued from the euthanize list at a high kill shelter, and exhibited feral/non-social tendencies. Over the last few months he has been approaching volunteers and demanding some personal attention. He hangs out in a special area and whenever someone comes near he has to get their attention and loves head and chin scratches and back rubs. A special home that can tolerate some rough behavior and be willing to work with his behavior is required, as he likes to swat at you when you stop petting him and he gives love bites when he gets overstimulated.......but he immediately comes back demanding more attention. The Great Siam is a little rough around the edges, but he will be a diamond in the rough for the right home. While he may or may not become a lapcat, past experience says that cats like this often soften up and lose their rough behavior when they leave the shelter and settle in to a quiet home they can call their own.
