Story
Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hi everyone, Charlotte here.  I feel like I must be dreaming, but it seems I really do have a chance at finding a home. I am a one year old Jindo mix from South Korea, weighing 26lb and 17 inches tall. Until recently I had only known life at the end of a short chain. My rescue occurred after a villager complained that there were many strays on his property. The firefighters came out to round up the strays and when they followed the dogs they came across me and another female chained up behind some buildings.  Our ten puppies were close by, many of them in small cages.    It turned out that our owner had been in hospital for some time so we had been without food, water or any kind of attention for far too long and were in a sorry state. When they were asked about us, the owners family told the firefighters to kill us all! Thankfully that didn't happen and we were instead taken to a private rescue facility. That's where I am now while I wait for you to send for me. Despite that experience I am a bright and lively dog who adores being around people. I am the kind of dog who will approach every stranger with a wagging tail in the hope that I get a scratch or a stroke or a few kind words. If there are children around, that's even better; I love them and will be gentle and patient while they touch me.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZvWmGV0uTaI&list=PL3UlJJYID8eGQ_AW6sqGPkc6FpFPxCdCT&index=7 I really am all about people so when it comes to other dogs I tend to be indifferent.  They are perfectly fine, but I just don't find them nearly as interesting as humans.  To be honest, I show more curiosity when I meet cats. If they would play with me, that would be cool, but I won't be offended if they tell me to get lost either. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eepCaLCLxt0&list=PL3UlJJYID8eGQ_AW6sqGPkc6FpFPxCdCT&index=5 Being outdoors is my preference whenever possible. And being outdoors with people is the ultimate. It would be awesome if I could find a home with someone who loved to go for hikes exploring the natural world with their best friend (me!) by their side.  Or we could just play tug-o-war together; I like that too!  Since I'm quite motivated by food you would probably find me easy to train. And because I am so eager to please you I will give you all my attention.  So what do you say? Can we start sharing this wonderful life together?  I'll be waiting to hear from you.   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada. Story
Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hello from South Korea. I am Mango, a 2 year old female Jindo mix with a nature as sweet as my namesake fruit.  I weigh almost 29lb and am 23 inches tall. When I was found as a stray on the streets of Hwaseong City I was taken the the pound. Shortly after my arrival there it was decided that the pound would be shut down and those dogs that weren't adopted by a certain date would be euthanized. At the last minute a volunteer saved me from that fate and I am now safe in a private shelter until I find my forever home.  As is typical of many Jindo's I have a very trusting nature. I'll gladly roll over on my back and present my lovely belly to complete strangers. I'll stand calmly while children pat me and stroke me all they want and wouldn't dream of walking away until they've had their fill. You have to be patient with little people I find!  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IVidyMkfJiw&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHfqPs1_T9kQ9uzIDr1U6tD&index=6 Look how I meet this strange man with a hood: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T8lf5DcD9y0&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHfqPs1_T9kQ9uzIDr1U6tD&index=4 I also have good manners with my interactions with other dogs. I greet them very nicely and let them show me if they are interested in play before I make assumptions. It's the best way to make friends and it's why I get along with dogs of just about any size.   Much as I enjoy playing with dogs I would probably describe myself as a dog of more moderate energy. I'm great on the leash; don't pull at all and I would really enjoy going for regular walks with my own special person. If you live with a cat, I would be respectful of him or her. Though I tend to be curious at first, I'll soon mind my own business if your cat prefers that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wTKtUz22UR4&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHfqPs1_T9kQ9uzIDr1U6tD&index=2 When I first come to live with you I might be a little spooked by loud noises, but other than that I will probably settle in very well. Especially if you like giving belly rubs! Me and my lovely belly will be right here waiting for you to send for us.........   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada. Story
Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hi ho, Silver!  I must have heard that somewhere but I can't imagine where since I am only a 6 month old Jindo puppy from South Korea. I was found, along with 9 other puppies and two adult female dogs who were chained up in a clearing. Some of us pups were in cages and all of us had been without food for some time. Turns out the person who owned us all was in hospital in a coma. His horrible family, when asked what should be done with the dogs, said we should all be killed! That's when Welcome Dog Korea came to our rescue and we are now safe at their shelter facility. You will probaly take one look at my fluffy 15lb body and want to cuddle me. I hope so! Right now I am 16 inches tall so I'll probably be a medium sized dog when I'm all grown up.  By nature I am a happy girl who loves to follow big dogs around in the hope they will play with me.  Smaller dogs aren't nearly as interesting, and cats are a complete bore, in my opinion.  I think it would be wonderful if I could have a big brother or sister dog to live with. I bet they could show me a thing or two about life in a home. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsDo6f-liV0&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHmfGt_ebEDZojycR48_Dfb&index=1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kx8sJj8WyNw&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHmfGt_ebEDZojycR48_Dfb&index=7 Speaking of home, will you give me one? I would be an easy dog to train as I love treats and I am curious about everything. Right now I am a typical, playful puppy who enjoys wrestling with other dogs, exploring the world around me and taking the odd nap here and there.  Wouldn't it be cool to have me grow up with you?  You can make that happen you know.   I am spayed,  vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $600 includes my airfare to Canada. Story
Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hi there, Jagger here, so named because of my wide, handsome smile and tail-waving swagger.   I am a Jindo mix from S.Korea, five years young, 43 pounds and 21 inches tall.  Not so long ago I lived in a home with someone who I thought cared about me. But when I was hit by a car and broke my hip my owner did nothing to help me, even though I was in a great deal of pain. Thankfully a neighbour contacted KAWA , the largest animal rights organization in Korea, and they encouraged my owner to surrender me into their care.  I underwent emergency surgery to repair my hip, followed by physiotherapy and I am now back to my old self - running and playing like before. Check out my puppy-like play bow behaviour when I meet another dog.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g4tSMYscbt0&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHU9O2i0buh8aWo2fZD6MyQ&index=4 If you adopt me you will be pleased to know that I have attended the Welcome Paws Academy and graduated with flying colours. This is a board and train facility which prepares dogs for new lives in future homes. You can see how good I am at socializing with just about everyone I meet. I'm very gentle with children and enjoy being petted by strangers. (Though I am not comfortable if they try to hug me.) In fact I will happily approach every stranger I meet to politely say hello. You can just about guarantee that you'll be meeting lots of new people when I'm by your side ! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wa7h1XpWcjc&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHU9O2i0buh8aWo2fZD6MyQ&index=1 Basically I am the kind of dog who likes to make friends with everybody, be they dog, cat or human.  Sadly the cats I have been introduced to don't seem too interested in befriending me, but that's their choice and I respect that. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n26gcGPLygU&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHU9O2i0buh8aWo2fZD6MyQ&index=3 In terms of energy level I would say I am about average. If you want to go for a long hike, then count me in. A brisk walk around the block? I'll be there.  Whatever you're doing is what I want to do too. Because being with you is what makes me happiest. I would love to make you happy too. Will you let me try?   I am neutered, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $500 includes my airfare to Canada. Story
Due to current travel restrictions related to Covid19 there may be a long delay before I can get to you. Please only apply for me if you are prepared to wait.   Hello friends, I am so hopeful that one of you will be my new mom or dad. I am a three year old Jindo mix from South Korea. My weight is 36 pounds and my height is 21 inches. They named me Kiss because that's how I express my feelings: when I feel comfortable with you I give you a little kiss to indicate that. It's my trademark! They rescued me from the streeets of Ansan where I was running at large with another dog friend.  It took some time to get us because the person who initially tried was so afraid that we would run into the traffic if she approached to fast.   Now that I am safe in the rescue facility I am enjoying my daily interactions with the other dogs and getting more confident with each passing day. Although I am still initially shy when I meet new people, I quickly open up when offered a yummy treat.  It seems that I am quicker to relax around children and will start giving them kisses in no time. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3MDLsTT8Hz8&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHZsx6nhWG3N0wvPSAEwso4&index=9 My favourite playmates are dogs that are a little smaller than me, and I tend to prefer one-on-one dog interactions over large groups. But really, as long as the other dogs are polite, I'd be happy to play with any of them. They introduced me to a cat to see how I would react. I was interested and curious, but not at all aggressive, so I'm sure I'd be fine if you want me to live with your kitty, as long as he or she doesn't mind sharing you with me. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vfCqwcFXw7U&list=PL3UlJJYID8eHZsx6nhWG3N0wvPSAEwso4 Since I love treats you will be able to use that to your advantage if you want to teach me something.  I am ready and willing to learn. Another of my favourite things is going for walks. There are so many interesting smells along the way and so much you can discover on a walk. I can just picture us together on our daily outings; it's exciting to think of my future life with you. I do hope you'll send for me soon.   I am spayed, vaccinated and microchipped and my adoption fee of $550 includes my airfare to Canada.
