Story
Meet Blance! She is a female Jindo/Retriever mix that is 6 months old and weighs about 9 pounds. She was rescued from a tree orchard in Gangneung, Korea where she was dumped with her sister, Mong (adopted last month). Blance can be reserved because she is still getting used to her new surroundings. Once she is comfortable with you, she is best described as sweet, mellow, and curious. She would do best with a patient adopter that can help build her confidence. Blance is hopeful that she’ll find the right forever home soon. Apply to adopt Blance! Instead of a livestream, our fosters will take videos of the adoptable dogs and we will upload the videos onto YouTube on Thursday, April 2. Watch the videos to meet the available dogs!! NOTE: We will be doing remote adoptions until further notice. If you are interested in adoption, please read and follow the procedures below. You will need to submit an online adoption application by no later than Friday, April 3rd at 12pm ET and we will follow up with you on next steps if selected! —— KK9R Remote Adoption Procedures **You must be 24 years or older to adopt from us** 1. Complete an online adoption application by no later than Friday, April 3rd at 12pm ET. Here is the direct link to the application: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScLd1hwuWyQ08wuWoJVUdeHKKs68_mDS59sFZ4a0SiiunaVSw/viewform 2. We will make decisions for adoptions by Saturday, April 4th at 12pm ET. We make the placement decision based on who is the best match for the dog, not the human. You will be contacted ONLY if you are selected to adopt. 3. If you are selected, you must have the proper supplies before you can leave with the dog. Our dogs are a flight risk and must be fitted onsite. See koreank9rescue.org/resources for the supply list and further details. We believe adoption is a privilege, not a right. BE ADVISED: Korean K9 Rescue does local adoptions within a 30-mile radius of Brooklyn, New York. Beyond this distance, adoptions are handled on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us in advance to confirm if you are eligible/if the specific dog can be adopted outside of radius. All dogs are spayed/neutered, fully vaccinated, & microchipped. Adoption Fee: Puppies $675.00 / Adults $600.00 NYC Dog License: $8.50. This is required for every dog living in NYC by the DOH. Training Deposit: $50.00. This is a mandatory deposit for behavioral training because most of our dogs have endured trauma in their past. The deposit is fully refundable once the required training is completed for the adopted dog. Please check the list of approved trainers at koreank9rescue.org/resources for more information. Kangsan is a male Jindo that is 4 years old and weighs 60 pounds. He is a local surrender who has been returned twice; his original owners bought him from a breeder when he was a puppy. Kangsan is a sweet lovable smart boy that needs a patient, strong adopter who can guide him through everyday life and provide a stable home. He not only needs love, but also the proper fulfillment and enrichment that he deserves. Kangsan gets along with calm females and can be pushy around male dogs. He would thrive in a calm home and loves hiking outdoors and doing urban agility. Help us spread the word so Kangsan can find the perfect forever home! 💕 Apply to adopt Kangsan! Story
Donghae is back with KK9R! Unfortunately, his first adoption didn't work out however we won't give up until this sweet, endearing fellow finds his perfect match! Charming Donghae is a male Jindo mix who weighs 45lbs and is 3 years 9 months old. He was used as a guard dog tied up outside a house in Yogin, Korea but perhaps he was just too friendly he didn't fulfill the role and his owner surrendered him to a high kill shelter. Donghae is best described as easygoing and friendly, but needs to be the only pet in a home with plenty of structure, rules and boundaries in order to thrive and live up to his best potential! Donghae possesses the ability to steal your heart with his goofy smile, and many wonderful layers to his personality. Donghae loves his walks and runs outdoors and is improving on his leash skills everyday. Donghae would love to have an active, experienced adopter who can continue his training and give him encouragement and guidance along the way. Please consider adopting Donghae if you can be that lucky person for him! Apply to adopt him! NOTE: We will be doing remote adoptions until further notice.
